We have just spent a week at son balou the hotel is nice and very clean. The staff are all lovely and very helpful. David who does the entertainment is amazing and the fact he knows all the kids names is such a lovely thing. He is very talented at what he does such a great guy. There is waterpolo every morning at 11am then darts and in the evening there is a kids disco at 8pm bingo at 9pm and a singer etc at 10pm. Hotel is right on the beach.. the hotel area is very quiet but there is a few bars to drink in and few places to eat. Shops are within a minute walk from the entrance of the hotel. There is a wee ting ting train which stops outside the hotel that goes to can picafort square where there is lots of shops and places to eat and drink the cost of the wee train is €4.50 return for adult I'm not 100% sure of kids prices think it was €2.90 return. Food at the hotel is good and there is plenty to choose from Drink and food prices at the hotel pool bar or restaurant was reasonable. Beds on the beach is €23 for 2 beds a safe and cushion mattresses. We had a pool view room which also overlooked the nature reserve the only downside is the balcony doesn't have a light I had read previous reviews about this and brought wee lights with me.. air con is good in the rooms I can't remember the times it was set for but it was plenty for us I actually turned it off at times as the room was cool enough. We would definitely stay here again.
