I had my wedding at the boathouse ballito and it was everything I could have dreamt of and more... The food, Deco and staff were the absolute best. Thank you to Devini, Amesh, Sne, Evi, Simphiwe, and a special thank you to Irene for going out of her way to ensure my day was perfect. For those searching for a wedding venue, I highly recommend the boathouse ballito. 

Service was professional yet friendly. The Boathouse team, very ably led by Devini and Irene, went the extra mile to ensure the comfort of all twenty delegates.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped and east facing rooms enjoy lovely sea views.
The tasty meals were served in a well planned manner thus facilitating efficient use of time.
Overall, an excellent conference venue on the beach and within walking distance of a variety of world class restaurants.

It's the most beautiful boat experience I've ever had without actually being out out in boat on a sea.

The rooms are very particular and beautiful, the penthouse being the show stopper absolutely filled with tranquillity and peace, perfect that intimate getaway with your loved one or family but also perfect for work trips.

They are very organised in terms of conferences and very professional.

The staff are also friendly, starting from the security to the reception, to the waiters, to the housekeeping absolutely amazing.

They are neat and clean, spotless, a big plus for that too.

As my colleague alluded to these words..''We have to remember this one. Well priced and by far the BEST service we've had from a venue.''

My husband and I would highly recommend the Boathouse for any event as the ocean views, attention to detail and personal touch made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be - we were in touch with Irene and Vireshka who made it worry-free.

Thanks to Devini and team for a fantastic 2 days at the boathouse Ballito for our team build. Devini and her team were ever ready to cater to our every need and want and they made sure that we were comfortable in every way during our stay. We had an amazing time in a lovely venue with the most breathtaking view. We will most definitely be considering this venue for future events.

We would like to thank the staff for making our Christmas lunch so memorable, the quality  of the food and presentation was excellent.
The buffet as advertised was a blend of Indian and Continental dishes and that was what's produced, the taste of each dish was a compliment to the chef and his staff.
Sitting on the verandah, with the ocean 100 metres away, could one ask for more, and the value for money could not be faulted.
In the 6 weeks that we've been in Ballito this was our third visit, and have never been disappointed, the staff know what they are doing.

Perfect Engagement & Proposal Venue !

We booked at the boathouse for my mother's 70th birthday the food for the function was very nice our guest enjoyed it the decor was beautiful a special thanks to event coordinator Irene for perfect coordinating from food to decor. In totality thanks to the boathouse team Evidence for assistance with accommodation booking, the manager Devini ensuring the team is running effectively and Verishka you are a star for allowing the team to accommodate our needs and ensuring the function was perfect very much appreciated the rooms are very cozy and comfortable. Breakfast menu needs improvement on variety other than that thank you once again see you next time hopefully 😀 👍

70 birthday party

The room was clean and staff was friendly. It was hard to open the door but maintenance came to fix the door to make it easier. Breakfast has a nice spread but it seems the staff is under pressure. Service was slow and food was cold. Good wi-fi, tv and complimentary amenities. It was Christmas and my grandson wanted to sleep over, no consumption of water or food and I was told I had to pay R800 extra. I think this was ridiculous.  He was never going to shower or bath because in the holidays the boys are constantly in the pool or ocean. My suggestion is to use a bit of discretion and common sense in this regard in light of the spirit of the season too.

AMAZING!!!

This review is relatively objective, this being my 15th road trip, this time staying in 7 properties over a 21 day period.

I stayed solo for 5 nights in early October.

Easily found with secure/guarded off street car parking.

Welcoming, efficient and friendly staff throughout.. A problem I had was eventually resolved to my satisfaction.

Great location with only a footpath between the hotel and beach.

My room was more akin to a mini suite, with great views over the balcony terrace to the ocean, allowing me to watch whales and calves breaching and tail slapping about half a mile off shore. Work on the balcony terrace should have been completed shortly after I left.

The room was modern, large, very well equipped and comfortable, especially the bed and linen. The bathroom was well equipped with a bath and walk in shower.

WiFi coverage throughout was patchy and slow - it really should be so much better in a hotel of this class.

Breakfast was frankly poor, both in limited buffet choices and quality - stale croissant for a couple of days and instant coffee from a jar really aren’t acceptable. However the hot breakfast cooked to order was up to standard.

The location, bedroom size/quality and staff were the factors that upped what would have been a poor to average rating to very good.
