Guest House Vitaja

Stayed 4 nights in a studio apartment on the top floor. After leaving regretted we didn't have an opportunity to spend here our whole holidays. LOCATION. In a quiet rural part of Bled, yet within 10-15 minutes on foot from the lake. Silence, fresh air, nice views, beautiful nature, grasshoppers "singing" in the evening... Once we saw a roe deer from the window and every night admired a stars while sitting on the balcony. All noisy types of entertainment are, fortunately, closer to the lake and not here. A big supermarket "Mercator" and a bus stop "Bled Union" (buses to Ljubljana and other destinations) are within easy reach. ROOM & FACILITIES. Spacious, airy, clean. A king size bed + a sofa bed - both comfortable and wide. Good linen, nice soft pillows. A well-equipped kitchenette. Lots of storage space. The private bathroom is located on the landing which also "belongs" to the room as it's the top floor (3 towels per person, slippers. No shampoo, just soap) A balcony with nice views and furniture. The Bled castle can also be seen from some windows. No air-conditioning, just a fan, but you can easily air the room opening all the windows and the door. OWNER. Very friendly and helpful, speaking good English and responding quickly and efficiently to my emails prior to the stay. Although you actually live in her house, you feel very relaxed. THINGS TO IMPROVE. Not many. As everyday cleaning isn't supposed, a broom is needed and clearer instructions about what to do with garbage. Would be nice to have shampoo in the bathroom. GENERAL IMPRESSION. Very positive! Totally recommended!
