Rostohar Guest House

A modern, attractive house on the outskirts of Bled. By outskirts I mean 5-10 minutes walk, so very close to the lake (15 minutes max to the bus station). The house overlooks wooded countryside. The road is quiet throughout the day and night. Our room was clean and well decorated. It had a fridge, 2 hob electric cooker, kettle, toaster, TV with more channels than you could ever watch. The bed was comfortable and clean too. There was masses of crockery and cutlery too. So, you could either eat 'at home' or eat at restaurants, of which Bled has many good ones. Nearest restaurant at Penzion Berc or Penzion Mayer, 5 minutes walk. Supermarket 10 minutes away, open 7 days. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. She has a pet poodle, so not good if you don't like dogs, but it's a nice dog and doesn't bark at night. A deposit is payable to the owner by bank transfer to confirm the booking (our bank charged for the transfer). The balance is payable in cash, so make sure you have enough Euros. It was well worth the money and we had a very enjoyable stay.
