Al Khozama Madinah

We stayed for 4 days for hajj in 2014. The decor of the hotel is good, although dated in parts there aesthetics are welcoming and homely. There was a slight issue with the start up time for the aircon etc taking a few minutes (not great after coming back from sweltering heat outside), but an extra key permanently stored in the key slot resolved this issue. Wifi was a little slow compared to UK standard but readily available throughout the hotel The location of the hotel is good, there are a few small shops and a a market stall nearby, the prices are generally less and more open for negotiation that those shops located on the north side of the mosque. The walk to the mosque in peak time hajj was c. 7 minutes or so, there are a few different routes you can take to get to the older part of the mosque or the womens section. Finally. we had half board basis. the food was good although it did get repetitive at times, there was a good range and selection of dishes, salad and dessert that would satisfy most people.
