the hotel is ok but the restaurant is very inflexible. When you have breakfast included it means you HAVE TO accept their choice of things they offer because the breakfast is included (so, shut up and eat!) The issue is that I do not eat meat and I had to go through long discussions to convince them to just put a double portion of cheese instead of the ham that was "included". Finally they did it but I left the place with a very bitter taste because of this

For the past 10 weeks i have stayed in this hotel for 2 nights a week. i meet my business partner here weekly to discuss our business plans for the next week. although i do not speak romanian i have no problems with the staff. I accept that the only staff who are nearly fluent in english are the reception staff, however i have no problems with the restaurant staff who are very friendly and helpful. contrary to previous entries it is possible to get a breakfast different to the one that has been given to other commentators about this hotel and  it is always good and prepared well. I have had no problems with the cleanliness of the room or bathroom and am always fully satisfied with the servicing of the room.  it is not a 5 star hotel and should not be judged as such, if you want 5 star treatment pay more and stay at a 5star hotel. i eat here and find the food excellent and good sized portions, good value for money. to summarize i stay at this hotel a lot and cannot find any reason to change the location of my weekly business meeting. i am very satisfied with the treatment i receive here. yes the elevators are old fashioned but this is typical of romania. i have travelled a lot and have stayed in a large number of hotels,in the restaurant try asking for the english menu , yes the english is not perfect but t least you know approximately what you will get to eat.i am not saying that this is the best hotel i have stayed in, i have stayed in 5 star hotels and 0 star hotels but this is a very good hotel for the price with helpful and friendly staff.

much maligned hotel , it is good value

This hotel is fine for the nights. The restaurant and the breakfast is lousy though! The waitress in the dinner area was more interested in the tv than in the guests. A problem was also that it was not possible to pay with any kind of cards which we did not know before after dinner. The waitress really had a problem. We suggested twice that we could go to the reception and pay but no.... and then she bit her lips while watching the TV. At last she decided to go with us to the reception. There was not much flexibility. At the breakfast where we got 2 pieces of dry bread and 1 cup of that very strong coffee which only covered the bottom of the cup, almost the same thing happened. As we asked for another cup of coffee the waiter asked for cash!!! There were no service at all in the restaurant but at least we had a good nights sleep.

Ok hotel but lousy restaurant.

Very good located in the city center on foot by everything. Old type of hotel with some old manirs of stuff, but still ok if you compare with price. Food not something I liked there. Also big proiblems with wi fi internet when more people in the hotel are online.

Could be better

I have stayed at this hotel for only one night, but I had the worst experience with a receptionist ever.

First of all she new nothing about the reservation we had made online, even though it had been CONFIRMED by them, saying things like "a correct reservation should be made on the phone not on the internet". Second of all, she asked us to pay at ARRIVAL, even if we wanted to pay at check out, after we would have discussed with the manager, who  was not present at the time. 

Besides the fact that she started all her sentences with "no" or "there is a problem", when we asked for the bill, she said the billing machine  does not work properly and that she couldn;t give it to us. (situation solved after a loong discussion)

On top of all that, one of the rooms didn't have hot water, and both of them were not heated, so we slept in the cold.
