Very comfortable house, very well equipped, gentle and generous breakfast service, all rooms with bathroom, air conditioning, outdoor leisure space, fireplace, I highly recommend!

Family weekend

We tried to book a night, no good day, no good afternoon, the minimum was one night, and then a dry well. A little education wasn't bad. Maybe I didn't need clients and I'm full of stomachs.

The house is amazing with everything you need. In the middle of nature and few minutes  walking distance of “Passadiços do Paiva”
Also recommended to visit Arouca and Alvarenga
The food is really something in this region

Casa do Paúl

The choice of Paul's house for an extended weekend visit to the pavement was made mainly by the beautiful architecture of the building that so well mimics and integrates into the lush nature of the place. Part of this quality is the proximity to access to the pavement and other pedestrian routes is very convenient, allowing you not to have to take the car for two or three days. The interior of the house is bright, comfortable, and has all the amenities for a quiet stay and you can cook a few snacks. Not having internet or TV signal was a nuisance. It was an excellent stay and would undoubtedly stay here again.

Beautiful architecture in the midst of nature

We had lunch as part of group after completing the nearby Passidicos do Paiva hike.   The property is located near the end of a town that appears to be undergoing transformation due to the new park nearby.   Part of the town is abandoned and part has been renovated.  The interior of the building is very modern and attractive.  The exterior is pretty and comfortable.   The food we were served was outstanding.

The house is spectacular, the view is stunning, the silence is absolute, the lady Lina was the one who welcomed us, very kind, it's just a pity that it's been so few days, so I hope to come back if possible.

Excellent stay

We had a fantastic weekend with a group of friends, and we made our way to the Paiva and rested in this extraordinary house, surrounded by nature, and we woke up to the sound of the river, and the roar of the birds, and the fresh bread that D. Lina brought us, and the house has all the conditions and the location is great for those who want to make their way.

Surrounded by Nature

we stayed a long week-end in Casa do Paúl and we had a wonderful time. the location is exceptional if you like country side. the river is passing near the house, the kids can play in it. you are surrounded by the fields and the people are willing to have some conversation with you! the house is superb: very modern and gigant windows that let the landscape enters the house. great view on the valley. Senhora Dulce is great, very friendly and always trying to do whatever she can to help. great bread for breakfast. perfect location if you want to do the "passadices": a 8km walk that is really worth the excercises.

great house in wonderful countryside by the river

We spent wonderful days in Espiñca. If anyone is looking for peace and a beautiful house with plenty of space, I can only recommend the Casa do Paul. Disadvantage: somewhat remote, but when you are looking for peace it does not bother you.

House of Paul

My husband and I booked the studio for two nights during our honeymoon. Espiunca is about an hour and a half away from Porto (also depends on how good you are with a GPS and directions), and though we didnt have too much trouble finding the place, our rental GPS kept trying to make us turn on to the weirdest of roads. We were able to get better directions from people on the street and the website. The studio is just adorable! Its not very big, but we were amazed at how functional and perfect it was for two people. Dulce had the refrigerator stocked with milk, juice, eggs, jam and even ham. She also had cheese and port wine to welcome us. The village is very beautiful and serene and we took advantage of the PR10 trail and completed maybe 2/3rds of it. Definitely take a map and water because it is a long trail. We passed other small villages, creeks, waterfalls, farms and lots of wooded areas. The next day we walked by the river in Espiunca and had lunch in Arouca which is about 9-10kms away on our way back to Porto. We would definitely come back!
