Approach:
The place is situated not too far from the center, but definately not in it. I would recommend it for travellers by car and families. It is in the suburban area with parks and family houses.
If you travel to Krakow by bus or train then it is very easy to approach (since the main bus and train terminal are at the same place, right next to a tram stop): take tram line 4 or 14 and get off at the 8th stop (called GLOWACKIEGO). From here, the hostel will be 2 corners away, circa 200 meters (bit less).
It is possible to go there by bus 501, but I would not recommend it, since it is much slower due to traffic and more difficult to find the hostel from the stop. But if you take bus line 501 (which also leaves from near by the main train and bus station) you have to get off at the 6th stop (called PRZYBYSZEWSKIEGO) and walk around 150 meters.
The place:
Horrible. The rooms were not clean and smelly. We had to spend there two times one night (a wednesday and saturday evening) and for both  occasions we got nothing that we were asking or paying for. We reserved and payed for a room with double bed, but instead we were placed in one with 10 beds! There was no chance to argue since the lady in charge could not speak English, or the lady at the reception who could, was already/or still at home. Be careful what time do you arrive, alert them in advance, since they close the main gate befor 7 o'clok pm. If it is closed, there is no way you are able to get in (since the bell rings at the reception desk where no one sits after the recepcionist goes home).
Maybe we just had a bad luck and they are decent most of the times. Do not know...

I have been here for 2 weeks. It was so cheap but low quality as well. It is too far from tram station and city centre. There are shared bathroom toilet and kitchen. All of them are dirty and useless. It is not also  convenient for couples.

Not good

Fit out and furniture were old and DIRTY. The carpet in the room hasn't been hoovered in ages, the sheets were old, thin and with holes in it. The towel STINKS with mould!!! The whole room was smelling with mould and there were dark marks on the walla. The reception staff was not there at 8:30am when I had to leave so I had to look for the button to open the front gate (I couldn't leave at first!) and had to ask another guest to press it and buzz me out!!  I want my money back!!
