I'm already generous with the AVERAGE rate because this hotel is really that. Just average. During our three nights stay, water was a problem because of some faulty connection to whatever that the plumber needed to fix for more than half a day. The bathroom shower had difficulty churning out water too, and it's always flooded because there's nothing that separates the shower area from one side where the toilet's located. 

When I went down from the 4th floor to ask a hotel staff for a tissue paper roll that I could bring up, that staff told me that another staff would bring it up "later." Why, when I've already come down to get it? For us to maybe wait some hours more? I had no choice but to get down because the intercom (it only has one on our floor hanging on the wall) wasn't working. It was very inconvenient. 

Although we didn't ask for our room to be tidied up because of our valuables, I thought the hotel staff would be responsible enough to check with us if we need a new set of tissue rolls for our comfort room needs. It's like that in some of the hotels where I've stayed. 

The only good things I appreciate about Mont Wind was that one long-haired friendly staff who was always smiling and accommodating to us; that it was just near Aguinaldo Highway where all nice food places are located; that it was in area where transportation is not hard to get; it's near BDO and Ministop; and it's pretty near the Tsokolateria I love so much.

Other than these, there's no reason for me to go back and stay again at Mont Wind. I'd choose to stay somewhere else because in Tagaytay, there are many budget lodging houses to choose from. Lesson learned, anyway. 

Average Hotel in Tagaytay

Staffs are polite and accommodating when we arrive.The room is clean and smells good. All the equipment and utilities are working well except for the intercom. On the downside, advert says it has a cooking stove but when we arrive it has not. So we have to request everything to the frontdesk several times before they provide us. 
Amenities are great, my kids enjoyed the swimming pool. All their amenities have a corresponding fee before you can use it.
The view is great on the premium room that we have stayed in. The location is very near to all the great restaurants and scenic spots in Tagaytay.  Overall it was a great stay worth your money, we will be coming back for sure if we are going to stay again in Tagaytay. 

Great for a family vacation

Loved my stay here , great location you can walk to where ever you wish to go. Lovely morning surprise at 7.30am / 8.00am a knock at the door ,  breakfast brought to our room  with a smile how nice. Great Staff great place and great price :)

Best deal in Tag-a-Tay

we just checked in here accidentally after a bed and breakfast reservation went off,but nevertheless it was a blessing in disguise. The rooms they have are very basic accommodation but what they offer you is what you dont always see in other hotels. They provide a family away from home,they extend help beyond the basic. You just ask for it and they will be willing to give you what you need. We spent our holiday there and we never regretted any single second of it.
