Great location close to the centre and to the station the room is spacious and clean product presence bathroom rituals large shower cabin friendly reception even though check-in is up to ten o'clock the quality-price ratio is very good

Ideal hotel to visit in Groningen

Located downtown 10 minutes from the train station, priceless location on a very quiet street, I have a very large and elegant room with Rituals products in the bathroom, an extra cocktail, very nice reception, excellent quality/price.

It's always worth a ride in Holland.

I was looking for a hotel near Xior student building, so Asgard was the nearest and I chose it. It is located on a quite street in a very old building, but inside it is renovated. Unfortunately, as the building is old, there is very poor sound insulation between the rooms and you have to wait long for a hot water in the shower. The breakfast was a bit overpriced (as well as the hotel itself), but there is a lot of places to have breakfast in the city center. There is tea/coffee making possibility in the room too. 
So, all in all, good hotel, but overpriced. In the center of Rottetrdam I've got cheaper room in 4 star apart hotel.

Quite good, but a bit overprices

As ordinary mortals we were allowed to stay at the Asgard, which felt as a privilege, certainly during lockdown times (March 2021). We had a spacious room, with a perfect bed, a great bathroom and a fine view over the city of Groningen. Everything within walking distance (station, restaurants, museum).

Great choice for Groningen

Stayed here at the end of a solo motorbike trip to Scandinavia and back on the recommendation of a friend. Located in an older building the interior has been redone in a very contemporary style. The room was stunning, clean, cozy and quiet. Located walking distance to all the bars in the centre this hotel is the perfect little hideaway. Would stay again.

Very cool hotel

This hotel is ok, my room was not huge but livable, the location of the hotel is central. In the room there is the possibility to prepare tea or coffee.

Hotel is okay

Beautiful room on the third floor with a small balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows. Beautiful open bathroom, Scandinavian modernity. Organic breakfast, high-quality bathroom supplies. Great location between downtown and the train station (good 5 minutes walk). Still very quiet. Friendly reception. I liked it very much. Negative: a few dirt stains on the jellyfish in the room that didn't look nice.

Friendly, stylish and great location

Nice clean hotel located in downtown Groningen, easy walk from the train station. Rooms are clean, bright and spacious. Two rather small beds in the room. There is a coffee and tea in the room, no bottled water —but the tap water is very good in the Netherlands. Breakfast with organic items is fairly extensive. Service is good, but front desk is closed after 10pm and you have to call via an outside key pad to get access to the hotel. Comfortable hotel to spend a night when visiting the city.

Thanks comfortable and clean 

Tucked away in one of the more quiet streets downtown Groningen. Relatively small hotel with a great atmosphere, a homely feel yet big and anonymous enough to feel free. Great staff, really great breakfast (all biological). Nice design features. Overall a big welcome. Loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom ;-). The walls in our room showed a little wear and tear, but as the hotel is very affordable: who can complain. Just loved to stay there.

Very sympathetic, downtown and design hotel with great breakfasts

Very friendly staff, hotel environment with taste, room design very appealing. Simple to feel comfortable. Not to forget: a select breakfast for environmentally friendly, wonderful. We were both there and we learned to appreciate the hotel as a good starting point for selected city excursions.
