Hotel Reda Zagora

I stayed in total 10 nights at this hotel.  It is 
Located 10 minutes walking distance from Zagora center and 15 minutes walking distance to Amzrou. The staff were really kind and helpful. The room was really big and clean. They have a lovely pool open 24 hours, surrounded by nice palm and orange trees.   In the hotel complex there is a live music venue  Berber, Arab and Jazz music every night where you can enjoy and dance. But the rooms are far away enough and you cannot hear anything from your room. So you can party the night you wish and sleep when you wish. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel and would stay there again when I return. Jabouf and Amdiaz recommended I would stay in this hotel.

I'm not quite sure what the disappointed reviewers were moaning about constantly. 
I found that the hotel did it's job.
It was clean, the staff were nice, I really really enjoyed the food and I thought the facilities were good.
By no means is this the nicest of hotels but it's no where near the worst either.

Lovely hotel in Zagora

Worked for me!

We spend two days in this hotel which is huge. I mean huge in terms of over 600 rooms of which probably one or two are taken.
The swimming pool quite neat is like a bathtub all for yourself.
The lobby makes you shiver it is like he arrival hall of Heathrow. 
Food is not all that well but the kind staff deserves better.

Deserted hotel which needs our support

We stayed there 2 times and 3 nights. When we first arrived, we got a room with a terrace. Maybe is is a nice idea in hot summer, but in march this was one of the coldest rooms of the hotel: always in the shade of the trees, cold and damp inside, no heating, dark and cold. I was freezing the whole night. The electric plug destroyed my phone charger and the fuse went out. No working plug in the room for charging.
Second time we arrived there I insisted on an other room and got one on the first floor. This was much better, more light, warmer, electricity working.
The bathroom was never clean, in both rooms the floor was dirty. Other people of our group complained about dirty bedlinen, unchanged towels and dirty bathrooms as well.
The garden / pool area is very nice, and the reception hall is a masterpiece of moroccan interior design.
Breakfast is very nice and moroccan pancakes are freshly fried. Birds are flying around everywhere inside of the hotel, over the breakfast / dinner buffet, at the recpetion,...
Dinner was good, but the traditional music group noone ordered spoiled the evening because they were so noisy and there was no way escaping them because they went to every corner of the restaurant.
I needed help with my huge & heavy luggage and there was noone I could ask. So when trying to carry it by myself, I was OBSERVED by the staff an then had to ask at the reception if they could motivate someone to help me. Someone appeared then and at the end wanted money for the "service"...

nice setting, but poor hygiene

One night we slept at the hotel  Red Zagora declared on 4 *. We benefit night, dinner and breakfast. On  way through southern Morocco, it is necessary to adjust the local standard and be more indulgent. Upon arrival, its makes a nice impression a lobby with a reception desk, interesting decorated in the local style. The problem is that,  only in this area it can be traced free Wi Fi internet. Only close to the reception area where is so poor lighting at night so you can not see the letters on the keyboard. The buffet dinner was served in the style " here is some food and eat!" When we got a little bit appealed occurred more staff and has perfected the menu. Rooms with worn furnishings are arranged in a low building and at night in poor lighting is it difficult to navigate.

Reda hotel at the beginning of 52 day caravan routes through the Sahara

We arrived in Zagora after a rather long day driving down from Marrakech. After being shown round 2 other hotels(which we didn't stay at due to a. No locks and b. no hot water), we reluctantly settled for the Hotel Reda. The grand entrance was deceiving. The only light on in the huge marble entrance hall was at the reception. 3 people sat with clearly nothing to do (and probably thinking "why on earth have you chosen this hotel?!?!). Having paid the not so cheap fee for the night (£60) we were lead across an eerily silent courtyard full of deck chairs and a large pool. No other guests spotted yet...

We entered the far side of the building to the pitch black corridors, where the concierge felt his way toward where the light switch was. 3 measley light bulbs hardly lit the very long, brown carpeted, blank walled, institutional corridors. Very eerie indeed! The room was extremely dated. Both plug sockets were hanging out of the wall. The plastic tiles on the wall were falling apart and even had a few missing. The bath felt like sandpaper. Not ideal. 

We went for supper in the hotel restaurant, which, surprise surprise, was empty, apart from some locals having a chat. As we came in, their conversation stopped and they all turned around and stared at us. At the same time, the smell of faeces in the dining room hit us. We drove to a local restaurant which was fine. 

Some hours later, at around 2am, we were both woken up with a horribly intense smell in our room, similar to that in the dining room, but far stronger. The smell which hits right at the back of the throat...I would have packed up and left had I not been uncomfortable leaving our room, being one of the only guests in the huge hotel with around 100 rooms... It really was very unpleasant. I woke up after very little sleep in a foul mood and in a hurry to leave. Breakfast, which was included in the price of the room, was forced down outside after we had confirmed that the foul stench was still in the dining room. 

Awful. This was the only low point of a fantastic trip.
