We spent a weekend in the riad and everything was good. It was clean enough, the beds are comfortable and the shower pression depends on how many showers are used in the same time.
Rachida was amazing with us and we loved her breakfasts and also the dinner.
Rachid, the GM, helped us with everything we need and he organized our trip to Desert and to the mountain (trip to the mountain highly recommended)
Soufiane drived us everywhere and he was really nice and disposable

I stayed here with friends for a friends birthday! It was amazing! I loved that we weren't that close to the main tourists areas. The team there were amazing, Khalil was honestly the best "guide" anyone could dream off - he was so polite and charming he made you feel safe. Rachid the GM was brilliant - checked us in with ease, made sure we had what we needed, checked in on us as well daily and was always nearby if we needed him. Rashida who came every day to clean and would make breakfast was lovely - the breakfasts were amazing and her eggs with the salt and cumin on top honestly I will remember forever. 

We booked trips out with other tour companies before arriving and I would strongly suggest not doing that - Rachid and Khalil were more than happy to book everything for you and I would strongly suggest doing this as it will all be bespoke

We had a lovely City tour and we could spend as little or as much time where we wanted

We had a lovely driver Soufiane - he also made you feel safe and was always at the pick up spot at the time you agree. He was friendly and a great laugh

All in all the trip was honestly magnificent - if you are looking for a more genuine holiday then this is the place to be

Good Weekend at the Riad

A wonderful trip

It is clean, minimalist place. Though located in the busy Medina, it is in one of the quiet alleys. It is a fair 10 mins walk to get a cab. Internet connection is patchy in the rooms, but good in the common area. Though the riad's website boasts a swimming pool, the riad doesn't have one. The caretaker only speaks French and Arabic, but is friendly and will organise really good meals on adequate notice. If you are looking for the authentic riad experience, there are many more options in the same price range.

Nice, minimalist & doesn't live up to the hype

the riad is loveley but could be better,
the bad first.
we were told at the last minute to pay in cash. this meant a trip to the bank before our flight. could have meant us missing it.
they say on the website that they accept all credit cards. we think they do this to pocket the tourist tax.
make sure at the beginning how you will pay.
the breakfasts are lousy. the terrace is dirty.
even though they say the riad is 24hrs, we heard a guest trying to get in (you have no key) and it must have taken the owner at least 2hrs to open the door. not what you want in such a ramshackle part of town.

well, i'm finding it hard to think of anything to say......
it's authentic.
the staff are friendly but so would you be if you were making money.
overall....i would never recommend a stay here. they have to improve their ways or go under.

not what it seems

On our first night we encountered rats/mice in the Riad. Was told this was "normal". We left the next morning and checked in else where. Was promised refund of remaining nights but did not get a penny back. DO NOT STAY HERE!
