Apart from Abdelilah and Mohamed who have been under little care, I totally agree with the commentary on 'hervegeneve' since we also have a terrace in the suite.

Beautiful old building rooms nicely decorated. Abdelilah does everything possible to make your stay pleasant.. Breakfast is very good. It is in the middle of the town you Don t need a car to go out to the beach or for some vey good restaurants

Excellent

I stayed at this hotel from 24th to 28th December 2019 with my partner. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cost of staying was very good. The hotel is clean and very well managed. The staff were wonderful and very friendly and helpful. The bed was hard but this is nothing unusual as experienced in hotels such as Greece.
I would recommend this hotel. It is not luxurious but suitable for ones needs. I couldn't find any faults in  what may . Thank you very much for a lovely few nights spent at your hotel. Pallazzo Desdomozza.

I've spent a few great days in Palazzo! I really recommend it! Great welcome, very nice room and beautiful setting! The place is quiet and restful, very well located close to all amenities!

We booked two weeks stay together with my girlfriend at Palazzo Desdemona. We paid everything upfront but when we arrived we were shocked about the terrible customer service from the man behind the desk. 

The receptionist was extremely disrespectful and refused us entry. While we are both from FInland the only excuse was that due to Moroccan norms they can´t let us in because we don´t have a marriage act. This was strange for us because we received a personal booking confirmation from Palazzo Desdemona and it didn´t say anything about a Marriage act or refusal to let us in.

On top of this, the receptionist was very rude to us and treated us like we have committed some kind of crime. He also refused to help us contact the manager and just stayed quiet. My girlfriend was crying and we had to leave while the receptionist refused to refund us more than 700eur of booking fees.

We booked at a hotel in the old town, the service there was excellent and for two weeks a lovely woman cooked us breakfast and everybody was extremely nice.

If you are a couple, avoid this place at all costs.

THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE HERE

The structure itself is fantastic, breakfast always abundant as in other structures, friendly staff, clean rooms but...in the bathroom unfortunately, in addition to a not too pleasant smell (of this, however, perhaps they are not responsible), we found towels literally with holes or ripped! We are confronted with other bones and it was not an isolated case.

If it weren't for some sins, it would be a wonderful place!

The location is lovely but the cleaning leaves to wish for the towels all loose and broken even the toilet facilities very unusable and sweet in the background at the time of paying with credit card the first strip did not come out the receipt but the payment was made by text, they insisted to pay again insisting that it did not go well, moral they held us back twice the hotel account; we contacted the booking site reporting the hotel's response was that even the second payment did not go well, I do not add anything else...just pay attention

Bitter end

One of the most beautiful Raids in Essaouira. I always take groups there, the location is great and the people are so wonderful and very hospitable. I highly recommend this beautiful place for anyone going to Essaouira. The price is affordable.

Amazing place

Apart from the very friendly staff, the place is obviously operated at the lowest cost. The bedding, the sheets are out of date. The breakfast is minimalist and the coffee is imbuvable. I do not recommend.

Cheap.

It's a shame that the owners don't invest in their hotel. The central location is excellent, the staff is attentive and kind enough but you feel like letting go. We had chosen a suite with a terrace thinking we could enjoy the setting sun, what a discomfort: disgusting and broken trunks, squeaky tablecloths, decrepit paintings, the terrace is simply abandoned.
