However this was among the worst. Booked online on booking.com and the information there was simply not true. There was no wifi. No one of the family running it knew a word english. They could not even answer the question "do you speak english?".  They obviously didn't make a reservation for us or  care that we booked online already. No friendly contact. The guesthouse was at least 200m away from the location that is given on booking which is a big Problem if you search by foot and no one in the area knows english or the guesthouse and it's to far away from the City center to walk by foot but i would say that was kind of our fault since we still could have guessed that from booking. The family is sleeping in the entrance Hall and their TV is running pretty loud between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. you basically feel like you are living in their private house which made us pretty uncomfortable since we didn't feel welcomed. In the night someone tried to open our room door and i think we were the only guests but we had it locked. The toilet was just the bowl without the Seat or top. The sink was not only leaking but the water was basically going straight to the bathroom floor. Didn't try the shower. The walls looked a bit disgusting due to moisture or  something but overall i wouldn't describe it as dirty. 

+ the bed was in a funny "Apple Inc./love/paris" style
Paid only 80000 kip which seems to be rather little for luang prabang

Our advise: don't do it man! Seriously! Pay the 40000 kip more and you'll have a perfect guesthouse right in the city center.
