I had booked 2 nights and it’s a horrible place. Bathroom and toilets aren’t clean. The rooms are dirty as well and the girl from the reception is SUPER arrogant! She even tried to charge me twice. The internet is super slow, almost inexistent! The breakfast is till 10 am but they don’t tell you and it’s written nowhere. I changed hostel even just for one day. My booking on booking.com was cancelled, i’m 100% sure it’s to avoid a bad review.. But here it is! 

Horrible stay! Don’t recommend 

The good points: This hostel is incredibly cheap - the price for sleeping in the dorm includes breakfast with a good selection of local food. The dorm is clean, has aircondition, the shower works and there is little lockers next to the beds which is handy. The hostel is located right in the center of Luang Prabang - perfect for sightseeing .
The bad points: This is the least charming place in all Luang Prabang - there is a lot of really cosy hostels in town, so why chose one that is below the local standards ? The staff is not friendly and not helpful (very unusual for Lao people!) - maybe it only seems so because their English is really not good, but they don't even seem to make an effort.

Cheap hostel but not really friendly

I appreciate this is a hostel but still hostels should have standards 

I arrived with my friend to check in and found the lady asleep on her bed , she finally checked us in after 4 mins of waiting there, she then charged my friends account ( Agoda ) did not authorise to do this also , she did not give us any option on payment at any time , card or cash ! 

She also lied to our faces and told she was the manager . She showed a bad and hostile approach from this point and told us if you don’t want to stay then leave . All staff her aren’t friendly . 

I had a bad night sleep because the light from the building outside shone in on the bottom bed , I alerted this problem and they stuffed a quilt in the window which looked great . See pics below 

I have been travelling for a month and never stayed in such a hostel with these standards. They will take your money but leaves you with no customer satisfaction. A bad experience, I will not be staying here again or recommend this to anyone . 

Bad experience 

That was horrible. The toilets and bathrooms were dirty. The toilets were so often blocked. The room smelled really bad and when we told the guy I didn’t care until He finished is game on the phone. I absolutely don’t recommend it !

My worst hostel in Laos 

Breakfast included till 9:30 am only, no window, hot water in supplement, uncomfortable mattress, smell of humidity and mushrooms on walls, bad evacuation of water of the shower. Fortunately, the establishment is situated well.

Rotten room...

The owner of the hostel was so horrible. I was kicked out for accidently puking on the floor when i got sick. the toilets and showers were so  disgusting. No room to move. Absolutely the worse hostel i have ever been to in my life. please do  not go there if you do not want to suffer.

The only good thing about this hostel is that is was cheap otherwise avoid it as there are others hostels the same price close by. Staff are unfriendly but I feel it's mainly due to the fact they have very little English and they are like 14 or 15 years old. The beds are like sleeping on a sheet of tin they are rock hard and the locks on the lockers are falling off. It's close to the markets and bars and restaurants but it's absolutely filthy as well they said you have to take your shoes off to go to the rooms which I respect but not when the floors and bathrooms are that dirty! 

Awful hostel

As a first Laotian welcome it's a real cold shower!!! If you transit through Laos after Thailand it's really destabilizing... The welcome is detestable and you won't be allowed to smile or say hello only on a lucky day, unfortunately... The room  vip  is actually a basement in its own right! No air, rather dirty and the bed, at first large, is a wooden board with a sheet on it! Other companions have literally left the dorm for a few meters further away, and we will do the same...

Go your way...

We had a twin bed room, the smell of humidity in the room is unbearable, the walls are dirty and full of traces. The beds are very hard, they're not mattresses. The bathroom is a little higher, the shower is fine, even if it's not fixed well, and the water is hot. For the same price, 100,000 kip the room you'll find better right next door.

It's horrible.

Staf is the worst- terribly rude, arrogant, the only time they speak is to make sure to make money out of you. They have ripped several people staying there off with the scooters they rent out. They are really terrible!

Place is dirty, small, dark and damp. The "common area" so bad, all of us rather sat on the street with the simple so called breakfast. 

IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PHOTO THEY SHOW! The place wasn't even painted white, just a dark dirty place.
