Dolphin Bay Yoga Guest House

The guest house is awsome with a great view of the sea, it's close to downtown Port Anotnio and not far from the best beaches around there. We stayed in a big and clean room with our private bathroom and with the access to the kitchen at a really cheap price.  Tony, the owner, is really nice, kind, generous, and open-minded. We enjoyed his pleasant company at his place and relaxing together on the beach. We have been lucky to get the chance to know his nice friend and helper, Josh, who's very a funny and available guy.
We'll already know where to stay next time in Jamaica! :)

I stayed at this guesthouse April 6-10 and every day was such a pleasure. Tony, who runs the guesthouse, made sure my every need was met. And he went above and beyond by taking me to see the sites and also had breakfast prepared each morning (you must try his saltfish and ackee!) I will definitely be back...soon!

SUPER NICE!

So professional and accommodating!

Stayed at this (big house) for 2 days during my trip. Was like an appt style with all you need.  No pool, no view however it was ok to stay if your in port Antonio lo g tern and willing cook and clean. Once I got the place cleaned up and smelling fresh it was comfortable and quiet.   Just a tip make sure you get a room with running hot water. If your looking to adapt to normal living you may want to try this place out.

We'll start off with the positives, because honestly this place has so much potential. It is located in a nice community, it is extremely spacious, having every room with a kitchenette. The negatives are a result of extremely poor management. We booked as a very large group,  with children ( if you insist on staying here, please note it is not kid friendly) approximately 5 weeks in advance of our arrival. On arrival the outside looks great, and at first glance so was inside just browsing. As we settled in we started noticing alot of of things. 
-BATHROOMS were filthy, scum surrounding showers/tubs/sinks/faucets, the toilet had brown/green lining the insides, and everywhere just dusty. We did the best we could with cleaning it ourselves.
Common were dusty, with dirty floors, and every room had an odor.
-BEDROOMS, not even close to standard. I had to change my room as I got ready to go to bed, pull the covers back and adjusted my pillow, a big brown/moldy spot was on the pillow with crawling tiny bugs, Inspected the bed further to find the same crawlies. So I had to gather all our things to move to a seemingly cleaner room. At this point I was a little anxious, I had to thoroughly check the bed before laying in it this time. Some of the doors did not have a handled, I'd struggle to close my room door from the outside with the keys, my fingers would hurt. It was just miserable.
-AC in the room I occupied would turn on, blows no cool air and then stops running, I believe another room in our party had the same issue.
-WATER was always an issue, while we understood that Portland has some watery delivery inconsistencies, we could not understand why we had to struggle so much when there was water on premises in tanks, we'd have to ask the property 'manager's turn the tank on. You'd think running such a business would have a build in system to start and stop with the availability of water from the main systems. The upper bathrooms did not have hot water, nor did a room on the ground level. When the upper flow does have water the pressure is very weak.
-KITCHEN was shared space, it had a unpleasant odor. We also find that some of our supplies were being used by the manager, which is not an issue if we're being asked first.
-WIFI was not avaible. We were actually lied to about the service, it was advertised has having wifi and it didn't, had all the fixings but no service, the internet company even came out to look at it just for us to find out that the bill hadn't been paid. If you have children (which we did) then you know that this is a bit of an issue. We also had working adults and students in our group who needed to have this service. 
With the children not having wifi and playing like children do, this also became a problem for the property manager. He'd come out to tell the kids to quiet down, or ask us to have them quiet down. Even the adults were being nudged to quiet down, we felt so uncomfortable to gather as a family to talk and play games etc. We felt as though we're intruding.
The property manager was ALWAYS on site and never addressed any of our concerns. His response to the unclean/un-kept appearance was that we were the first occupants for a long time. This to me was not a reason explanation nor excuse. With an advance booking of 5 weeks, should have been ample time to have the amount of rooms we paid for cleaned and  prepared for someone to occupy. We were required to pay  50% down which we did 4 weeks in advance of arrival. Then were hassled every other day with him calculating who came when and is to leave when and how much remaining be paid. Then the complaining of water usage and times that we are accessing the premises. We were not informed of a 'quiet time' or instructed otherwise of enter/exit times. We are a family of respectable people and we conduct ourselves as such. 
This experience was very bad.  Which is sad, under different management I belive this place could be great, but until then, it's a no!

Oh, and NO YOGA classes being offered here.

Not even a fair experience, sorry!

We were very disappointed with our stay. We reserved 8 rooms for 2 weeks, only utilized 7 but didn’t receive money for the 8th. Rooms were not clean, sheets had bugs and dirt, no cleaning services, host gave us a hard time about water as well. Several toilets overflowed and could not flush, we had to clean our spaces every day and sweep common areas, and we were hassled about everything. There was no tv which is fine, but internet was out for 9 of the days we where there and we had young kids in our family. If kids were playing around 9pm, host would ask us to tell them keep it down. He seemed nice but then would constantly make comments as he walked around the house that we would hear and address but he never owned up to it. One day we took a day trip, and came home to him having shut the front door on us so we could not access our rooms. It’s unfortunate we could not stay in peace as a family without feeling we were a burden to him. They have back up water tanks, but we had to ask him constantly to turn it on and once he told my sister in law, “hurry you have 30 minutes” but many of us needed to shower and she was showering with an infant. Yoga is not offered and there is not peace to this home. The guy who owns the house suffered a stroke so it’s a friend who helps host now and he stays on property all day and night, but he could have done better to communicate and accommodate… I hope this place gets better in the future because it has so much potential.

Very deceiving. Don’t recommend. Poor cleanliness and host hassled us about everything. Low prices for poor experience.

This is the worst place you can and will ever stay if you’re in port Antonio Jamaica the WiFi doesn’t work they won’t pay the bill. The house keeper  stays there watches what you do and complains about noise. The toilets don’t work and you have to ask them to turn the water on whenever the water goes down. Some Rooms don’t have working AC or even hot water. The rooms are also extremely overpriced for not getting full service and I can go on about this place.
