Le Camere di Virgilio

We spent two nights in the gorgeous autumn weather at le camere di virgilio. I greatly appreciated Monica's warmth and good humor towards my children (2 and 4). She graciously shared the company of her 6 year old son. Our apartment was ample for my family of 4 with a decently equipped kitchen, a fold out couch, and a crib. The breakfast was surprisingly abundant for Italy- cheese, frittata, and cold cuts- in addition to apple cake, crostata, and cereal. Monica fills the place with baking aromas in the evening. The property was perfect for our needs- a playground set, contained lawn area, and farm animals to visit next door. A short walk to the canals and river; a short drive into Borghetto. Another treat- a fabulous restaurant as neighbor. My husband and I ate in turns while the children slept (stewed duck, cheese plate, chocolate pear tart, and much red wine). It was a wonderful country stay replete with colorful foliage, historic surroundings, and yummy food at a great value. Thanks Monica!
