The food was incredible and delicious and they did an amazing job accommodating dietary restrictions in a way that no one felt left out. The staff were all charming and delightful and unfailingly cheerful. The chef was quite patient with a very large group that had a varied culinary expertise. The rooms were lovely; this 16th century casa has been lovingly restored and the bathrooms are all beautifully renovated and modern, with great showers. Lots of commons spaces and nooks and set up for multiple groups to have their own spaces. Loved that dinner was in a different venue almost every night. What to know: this is a luxury experience, but it is not bespoke and there’s no flexibility. The days are full with thoughtfully-planned excursions, but you are always aware that you are on a schedule and given the remote location, you do spent a lot of time in the (luxury Mercedes) vans. For example, there is an amazing coffee bar and they’ll make you anything you want when it is open — but if you want coffee 15 minutes before breakfast is served, you are out of luck. Not a con (and the price is terrific for all that is included), but worth knowing so you can temper expectations.
