B&B a Casa Tua

We were travelling southbound to Rome and planned for an overnight stay before arriving in Naples. Piedimonte di San Germano is about halfway between Rome and Naples. Rita was very welcoming and a very good host. The rooms (and private toilet) are fine; air conditioning worked properly as did in-room wi-fi and TV. Cleanliness is mint. The pool felt like an excellent bonus. We arrived past 7pm and were invited to use it – which we happily did! We were offered breakfast in the kitchen, together with other guests – a simple but enjoyable meal (bread, biscuits, coffee and juice) and a nice conversation (in Italian) with Rita on places to visit during our 11-day through Southern Italy. Nearby Cassino (a 10 minute drive) is your best option for dinner. A 5 minute drive away (on the road to Cassino) lie a shopping centre and hypermarket. Also nearby is Aquino (home to Saint Thomas Aquinas). However, Aquino remains almost entirely anonymous, according to our host, and has very little to see. Don’t miss the Montecassino Abbey, where the Benedict Order was founded, on a cliff just above Cassino. Entrance is free, although a 3 Eur parking fee is due. Incidentally, Cassino is home a large Fiat Chrysler Automotive plant (entrance is just a few hundred meters away from the B&b).
