Absolutely great place, quiet because off the main road in green area. Its India, so expect India.
Large room, with kitchen, 3 bed and bathroom.
Would rate Service 5 stars and over the moon, anything requested is arranged swift and smooth.
Taxi from airport, train outbound, Simcard. No problem. Saves a lot of hassle.

Excellent place and service

The location appeared too remote and the infra appeared too basic. However, once inside, we found it very endearing a place to be in. The room is so well appointed with LPG cylinder & stive, all sorts of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery etc. The stay was quite pleasant. We were sort of insulated from the heat of the town with the lush greenery around the locality in general and specifically in the property around the building. That the Ramanashramam is quite close at about a km from here. There is a nice restaurant opposite the Ashramam which offers very nice food. 

Put off by looks initial looks but enamoured by use

Perfect hospitality!  The nicest hosts in the world.  Everything I asked for they helped me.  They took me on a tour of the city and the temple, helped me get to Central Station and always responded quickly and pleasantly.  The best room I have had in all of India.  Clean with a beautiful view.  warmly recommended.  Scooters can be rented from them at a low price.  You will arrive and you will never want to leave

I have visited on 27th March 2021. It is very nice rooms and services given by rainbow team. Two wheeler available to roam in side tiruvannamalai.very nice experience of roaming with family by Activa. We have done giripradakshina with two wheeler...

Very Very good

I spent the first 2 weeks of January at this wonderful place. Durga and her family were wonderful hosts; warm, generous, helpful and readily available - and they love their animals. The place is very clean with all the amenities needed and the rooftop view of Arunachala is stunning. It’s located a 15 min walk from Ramana Ashram which makes it close enough to walk (or take a short auto ride) but far enough out to be quieter and more restful. There are plenty of eating places in walking distance. I wanted to stay longer but it was fully booked out and I’m not surprised. Thank you Durga and family for your making me feel so welcome.

Rainbow Guesthouse

Well maintained clean place. Our superior room could sleep three in the bedroom and had a cot in the living room as well. This came with a kitchen cum dining room equipped with a fridge and basic utensils. Parkinfg is in an open ground across the property. No television. Rooms have air conditioning. Pleasant owners who administer the place. A good place for stay with family. No food is available in the property

Clean place

This exceptionally clean fully equipped guest house is owned by a precious family orientated family where the safety and comfort of guests are their first priority . We were only staying a short time and ended up staying much longer . The animals and the ambience is serene and undisturbed with 360 degree views capturing aranachala and the beautiful fields of Tiruvanamalai . The terrace is the perfect place for meditation and yoga . All facilities are catered for creating a hassle free exceptional stay . I have no hesitation to recommend this property for a short or long stay . 

The best place in town 

This is second time we stayed in this guest house and we are highly satisfied with the basic amenities of this place. Clean rooms with good ventilation and a small kitchen. Durga is a very quick in attending any issue. They have AC and non AC rooms and both are just perfect. As Tiruvannamalai is hot place, it's better to take AC rooms. Excellent view of Arunachalam from the top floor where u can sit and enjoy the view  / meditate .

Excellent stay

We were 9 of us , mix of senior citizens, middle age and kid. This is a highly recommended property for stay if you are visiting Thiruvannamalai.

The owner stays on the ground floor and there are 1 bhk concept rentals available on ground, 1,2 nd floor.

It's NOT a typical hotel stay.
No TV in room ( blessing!)
Calm locality ( away from main city by 2.5 KMS)
Authentic hospitality by the owners
Very clean property 

Highly recommended for those who are not looking for typical hotel stay at a spiritual town.



Home away from home - Truly experienced it!!

I can't recommend the Rainbow highly enough! Located away from the main road, a stone's throw away from a good, inexpensive eatery, a few hundred meters away from the Girivalam and an easy walk away from the Ramanashram, the guest house is impeccably clean, with the friendliest, most helpful manager Durga always happy to help. The rooms are spotlessly clean and fresh and, in our case, with a direct view of Arunachala. 
The terraces on every floor have comfortable chairs to lounge in and take in the view, and there is free drinking water available on every floor, refilled regularly. 
Basically, everything is maintained daily, everything works, and everything is friendly, welcoming and easy at this home-away-from-home guest house. Very happy to have found it, and can't wait to be back!
