The hotel gave such an amazing homestay vibes. Really it felt like i am staying in a room of my home. Views are mind-blowing. You can see whole of Sikkim. Hospitality was amazing. People were so humble and ready to help. Would really recommend to stay here 

We have bee travelling since 2009, covered a lot of places. My, my wife and son. Yuru is the most favorite property amongst all. My son wants to go to this hotel only. It's breathtaking views even from the room window will make you feel that are at heaven. 

Our favorite room 102, we stayed here 2 times. I am sure we will go again and again. 

You simply go to their secluded space meant for bird watching, meditation, calm and quite leisure. 

My son will never leave this hotel and go out...it is in such a beautiful location and so nicely made. 

Staffs are of course there to ensure you have a memorable stay. 

Mr. Viay Moktan is a great man and so humble. 

I have recommended to my friends. A few of my friends stayed there with family and everyone thanked me afterwards.

One of the best breathtaking views from bedroom without moving an inch. Teesta valley and Kanchenjunga Ranges were visible along with long Tibetian Ranges..........

Yuru Retreat is a superb destination.The place is so beautifully located that it makes you feel closest to nature.The magnificent peaks and the free flowing river both are visible on a clear day.
The staff members are so good and they always answer with a smile.Mr Dhanraj is the nicest man,he was there to solve every doubt.The food was superb and was always served steaming hot.I met Mr Vinay Motkan,one of the owners and he was a very good man,asked about whether our stay was comfortable.Our four day stay was definitely a good one.

We stayed at Yuru while returning from Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) for 3 nights. Since we were 3 friends we booked the Quadruple room (Room No.8). The room had 4 single beds and was pretty spacious. What stands out for the hotel is that it is just next to the Delo Park (2 minutes downhill walk). The views offered from the room are great (Teesta Rive and Mt. Kanchenjunga - On a clear day). The food is homely, delicious and economically priced  . The portion size are also great. Its a great place to spend a couple of peaceful days away from the hustle and bustle.

What could have been better -
Washroom was decently clean but the size of the washroom could have been a bit bigger (not sure about other rooms though)

Some other points -
This place is approximately 7-8 KMs away from the main market in Kalimpong. Though we just needed this kind of place.

Amazing place, Amazing Staff, Great View. Enjoyed the 3 days that we stayed.
Property is situated within walking distance of most of the key tourist locations of Kalimpong 
It is very high and has a great view.
Rooms are well kept. Management and kitchen staff are extremely cooperative.

I went for 1 night. I must say that the hospitality was great. Mr Prabin personally messaged me to know if service was good. This was a great gesture. Dhanraj and Abel was also very good. Due to fog I could not view Kanchenjunga but I must say the location is great. Rooms are big windows are huge... I will again come in May. Food was homely

11 of us stayed at Yuru and we had the best time! Great food (the chef is highly skilled), superb service, and amazing hospitality. The owner, Mr Prabin, will go that extra mile to make sure you're comfortable with everything. I fully recommend staying here if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle and just take a few days off to relax. The Kanchenjunga mountain is easily visible from the hotel and the views are spectacular all around.

My first stay at Yuru Retreat, Delo was in 2016. This year, as life came to a standstill with the raging pandemic situation, we were looking for a break desperately, and the first place on my mind was Yuru Retreat - such is the magic of the place. 

The hotel has a brilliant location and offers an excellent view of the mountains and the valley. Situated on a quiet hilltop, the place offers you a perfect serenity along with a majestic view of the entire mountain range - from the view point,the terrace or even from the rooms. One might just plan a vacation to Yuru and spend entire days in the hotel enjoying the beauty of nature in its myriad shades - through the sun and the fog. The dawn provides a clear view of the Himalayan range atop the canvas while the Tweets covered by clouds flows by down the vales. As the day proceeds, the soft fluffy clouds begin to rise and the river shows up gradually. The aesthetic balance is beyond words.

The rooms are clean and service is prompt. In the pandemic situation, the hotel has a system of sanitisation installed right at the gate. The staff is helpful. 

Mr. Moktan, the owner of the property, is very prompt in his responses to any queries or requirements of the guests. He makes an extra effort to ensure that the guests have a memorable stay at Yuru. In the present situation, as air travel necessitates web check-in and issuing of boarding passes, Mr. Moktan very graciously arranged the prints of the boarding passes for us before our return.

Food is good. The expertise of the veteran Chef Arun is reflected in the quality of the dishes served at the hotel. 

The hotel also has a very amiable travel partner in Mr. Diwakar. 

We had a great stay and lovely memories. And we look forward to revisiting Yuru Retreat, yet again!

A Nice Peaceful Staycation @ Yuru

Yuru Retreat

Booked Yuru Retreat based on the recommendation of friends and wasn't betrayed. The resort has excellent infrastructure, great views of the Teesta Valley and Kanchenjunga on a clear day and it reigns supreme in its location. 
-  Rooms are very well positioned, with a supremely comfortable bed, a couple of chairs by the large glass windows. We loved the lighting of the rooms. The bathrooms are large with a separate bathing enclosure. 
-  The restaurant served excellent food. 
-  The resort is spread over a huge area with gardens, walk ways and view points that overlook the entire Teesta Valley
-  Staff was mild mannered and their behaviour was very good.They also maintained the basic COVID safety protocols.

However on the downside:  when we reached in the evening there was a  power failure in the resort due to which the geysers weren't working. Got to know from fellow travellers that the power failure had lasted for more than 12 hours.  Staff count was low which caused some delay in services (the front office said that most were on leave due to Losar).

Yuru Re-Treat!

The location is perfect for a peaceful stay. The restaurant serves excellent food and the rooms are well furnished .You can spend hours at the view point or on the terrace watching the clouds float by and the river meandering through the valley , deep down below. Listen to bird songs and relax. Good stay for a couple of days.

Far from the madding crowds....

The view of mount Kanchenjunga is at its best from the room. They can provide heater facility and all time hot water facility at your disposal. Foods are awesome and complimentary breakfast is good. It is a perfect place for spending your lazy holidays. Deolo park is two minute trek from the property and science museum is 5-7 minutes trek from the property. You can enrich yourself with amazing experience of paragliding. From the roof top, one can witness the serenity of snow peaks throughout the day. 

Excellent location of the property with good ambience and helpful staff

The property is excellent , food is very good , proper service , and nice setting , 10 min walk from Deolo top . We stayed at room 102 , the best room , we had booked 4 months in advance. The views from the roof top is excellent on a clear day. Also if one goes with a big group , enjoy the open rooftop with drinks and snacks .
