This has become my regular place while in Ladakh. I conduct tours and those on a budget stay here. One min walk to market, ample parking and free wi-fi. The owner is a great person and is making a large luxury hotel next doors. So from summer of 2019 , this place will be even better in terms of feel. The little garden on ground floor is great for sun bathing 

Situated right 2 mins away from the market, we just loved our stay at Tsongspon. The staffs are very friendly and smiling always there for your needs. The entrance of the property is well decorated with various flowers which bring in a charm of Ladakhi Homes. The whole property, rooms and the washrooms were really well maintained and very clean. Although they don’t have a in-house restaurant, so you have to eat outside, however they can provide basic Tea & Coffee.

Stayed here with my wife for 4 days. It is a good guest house with wooden interiors and clean bathroom. Room size enough for 2 persons. Had good blankets provided, more than enough to prevent from cold, satellite TV (not flat TV). Best thing market is at 100 meters walk from it and many famous restaurants like Tibetan kitchen, Gesmo, Lamayuru are nearby. Breakfast and dinner on order. Not to forget 24 hours hot running water was provided. Cost is reasonable, should book offline if you want to get it booked at cheaper price than online rates.
Owner is a good lady and guided us well regarding local sightseeing and how to prevent us from cold weather in leh and surrounding areas.
If you are looking for good stay you can definitely book it.

I stayed here in 2016 and again this time also in June 2017. Two min walking from main market, ample parking, a little garden, free WiFi and big washrooms. Opt for first floor rooms which have wooden flooring and have a cosy feel. The owner lives in the same campus in his own building and ever helpful. Highly recommended.

Second visit, still the best

I stayed in Tongspon for 5 nights in 2 different rooms. The first room had a lovely view of the hills while the 2nd room faced a building separated by apple trees. The rooms are clean and big enough for 2 guests. Hot water is available 24X7. Wifi is spotty at times, but that is because of the service provider, not the guest house.
Two young boys act as caretakers. They don't know much but will cater to a request that you might make. The guest house could do better by providing at least 2 bottles of drinking water every day without waiting for guests to ask for it. They also charge Rs. 40 instead of the standard Rs. 20, which is not quite customer-friendly.
Located only about 500 metres from the main market street in Leh, Tongspon is a fairly decent place for budget travellers.

Disappointed. We were charged much more than expected to pay. If we knew this we could have stayed somewhere else for a quarter of the price. We were also served the wrong items from the menu multiple times and had to pay for these.
