D8 Hotel

My son (11) and I stayed at D8 Hotel during our city break. It's exactly what we were after. A fantastic location - less than 10 mins walk from the City Centre. On that note, the 100E bus from the airport is so easy to access and about 1000 huf per person so very reasonable for the convenience of getting straight to hotel. Dont pay the silly transfer costs in advance. The location of the hotel has an enormous selection of cafes, restaurants, markets and shops all within a few minutes walk. Even so, the hotel is perfectly quiet in the evenings and the black out curtains made for wonderful nights sleep. The breakfast is worth a special mention - fresh fruit, croissants, cheese, ham, cereal, cooked breakfast options, toast, juice and limitless tea and coffee every morning between 7 and 10:30. The selection is quite remarkable and the staff are very attentive and helpful. I can't praise this hotel enough it's a huge recommendation from us. The room isnt huge but we shared a twin and the layout is very clever and it means there is plenty of space and storage with hangers and hooks. The bathroom has everything you need and the whole place is pristine and spotless. The lounge area and bar are also very pleasant. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We came away with a piece of our heart left in Budapest.
