A few hundred metres back from the seafront, so quiet and peaceful.  Petros was incredibly friendly and helpful.  He and his wife provide a fantastic breakfast, with lots of home made food.  
There is parking nearby, but don't believe Google maps for directions - would have had us driving down a flight of steps!

Lovely place to stay

Petros and his wife are excellent, friendly and supportive hosts. The location should not be underestimated, it is perfect, short distances from everything (including the ferry port) and quiet. We chose Samaina from our short list as it stood out with its bright colours, and never regretted it. oh and we didn’t have to worry about the classic hotel old sagging bed - the bed was the best we’ve had in a hotel since pre-pandemic.

Ideal relaxing location

Our stay at Hotel Samaina was one of the best experiences of our tour of the Greek island of Samos. The cordiality of Peter and his wife is unsurpassed. Every morning we were surprised with a delicious and extensive breakfast with freshly baked bread, cake, and homemade jams from fruits of the island. From our beautiful comfortable room with a terrace, we enjoyed the view of the city and the sea. We will definitely come back again. Kind regards from Wim and Karin from the Netherlands.

Cozy, idyllic hotel in a prime location

With a view to the Pythagorion harbor, Samaina hotel is run by Petros and his family, and the care and attention to looking after guests shows. Everything is clean, the rooms have a rustic charm, and the daily breakfast is something to rave about (best spanakopita and tiropita I've had!) Petros goes out of his way to be helpful. The location is terrific - quiet because it is back a street or two from the tourist shemozzle, but close enough for a five-minute walk into the heart of the village.

A family-run delight

Petro the owner and his wife made our stay in Pythagoreion unforgettable.  Very professional and very nice persons. Always trying to help with a smile .Thanks !
The hotel is in a nice location, very clean,  very nice. 
Good view from our balcony and two minutes away from the port where main restaurants are .
I definitely recommend this hotel in Samos .

Ecxellent

We have just had a great holiday on the island of Samos and stayed in Hotel Samaina in Pythagorio. Hotel is a family run business with very friendly people. From cleaning ladies to the hotel manager every body is very kind and friendly. Hotel is always kept clean, rooms are big enough with clean settings. It is so comfortably quiet that you feel like whispering in-order not to break it. We stayed in the family room, 2 rooms adjacent to each other, a perfect solution for families with teenagers. Petros, the manager, is very friendly and helpful who gives you suggestions for your stay on the island for places to eat decent food and beaches to visit. Hotel is located very close to the main street of the town and very convenient for access to any attraction. We will definitely stay there again and suggest the hotel for people who are looking for a clean, safe and friendly place to stay. Thank you Petros and all the other kind people whose names i could not  get 🙏.
