Our family had been vacationing in Greece for years and we were fortunate enough to tag along a few times. The owner knew us by name, and treated us like family. The next thing you know, we decided to plan our 2022 wedding at Demestichas! We blocked rooms at the hotel and George was happy to accommodate. The rooms were clean and simple. This is a beachfront hotel, so tile floors, mini kitchenette, small balcony. Everything you need and nothing you don't. Breakfast was delivered to our room (it was available at the time of this review). ILLY: The on-site illy cafe was a wonderful treat every morning with lattes, espressos - every type of coffee imaginable. The staff were always friendly and helpful and pretty much knew our coffee order by the end of the week! The GARDEN: We had a small cocktail reception in the beautiful flower garden that sits between the apartments and the café. A beautiful flower garden, with cushioned setées and tables with lanterns. The RESTAURANT: Because the hotel and cafe are attached to the restaurant property, you can order food and sit in the garden or in the café... or bring it back to your room. OTHER: Laundry service was available to us and our guests -- I think on request for a modest fee. The ACs work really well. I put it on high and on 22º and found my new husband shivering with ice cubes in his nose. (Just kidding... but he was really cold.) MORE OTHER: George and his family truly made us feel like family. In addition to the regular hotel amenities, he arranged for soooo many extras that were needed for the WEDDING.. but maybe that's because we were like family. But any big family event where you need lots of space and affordable accommodations for many? On the beach? With wonderfully friendly, warm people? This is your place.
