The rooms are clean, but some of them are located on the busy street of the city center. Right under the hotel is a restaurant, which makes it very noisy until 11:30 p.m.

A Disappointment

I was here for one night due to a business trip. My room was modern, not too big but definitely enough for my short stay. When I arrive after 6 p.m., the key can be deposited in a safe reserved for me, which is very convenient. Highlighting in particular was the very varied and delicious breakfast buffet. Everything from various cereals, to bread and salmon to fresh fruit was offered here.

(almost) straight from the underground garage to the hotel - already as a driver not bad to know his vehicle well cleaned. Reception is not occupied 24h - but got the check-in in time before the key trunk was needed... room is nothing extravagant - small and cleaned - and, most importantly: clean!

friendly reception - small, quiet room

The hotel has been renovated at first glance but partly inadequate in the design. In the bathroom it smells like dung because the drains are not properly closed. Unloving equipment, low-quality mattresses. Staff at the reception is very nice but in the breakfast room the staff is annoyed and has no desire to serve. The atmosphere of the breakfast room reminds of a train hall, bright light, loud music, the back tables are not clean, you can also not use even if all other tables are occupied, does not work. Buffet is ok, drinks are of limited quality (filtered coffee,....) There are enough alternatives in the region for the price!

No hotel to feel comfortable

The rooms are large and spacious, well furnished and with a bathroom heater, but the curtains are transparent and half the size of the windows and in the rooms. 1 Then the street lamps light up at night, suboptimal. Breakfast is manageable, but at least delicious cereal is served on request. The Italian attached is good.

It's all right.

It's a renovated building with nice rooms. It's decorated accordingly. The bed was super - very well sleeping. However, after 6 p.m. the reception is closed and you have to ask for the key by phone. It's in a key safe at the entrance. It's very easy to use and it works well. What's more disturbing is the modest parking situation. There are only public parking spaces available and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. there's a short parking area with 90 minutes parking time. If you're lucky and the music school has taught or it's a lecture in the school you can visit half of it for a parking space.

Good beds

Weinsberg is a small town in south-eastern Germany, near Heilbronn and not far from Heidelberg.  This beautiful town is home to the oldest wine school in Europe, is surrounded by vineyards, has original Roman bath ruins, has numerous restaurants and very friendly people.

I can’ say enough good about the Burghotel in Weinsberg, Germany.  The hotel itself is right in the center to town and less than half a block walk to all the restaurants, and about a block away from the wine school.  It is easily reached by car or tram and a short walk from Heilbronn.  The hotel is very clean with nice, bright, comfortable rooms and a “snack” room, equipped with mineral water, beer, wine and snacks available at all times.  The atmosphere is super – a small hotel equipped with many antiques and a warm atmosphere.  Breakfast is fantastic, traditional German with meats, cheeses, eggs, yogurt, fruit, bread/toast, jams, coffee, tea, juice, etc.

But the real keys to the Burghotel are owners Norbert and Ruth-Elizabeth.  If you are lucky, Norbert will play a little classical music while you have breakfast.  He is very skilled and has four pianos and a harpsichord.  Ruth-Elizabeth is the finest hostess in Europe!  She is very welcoming, attentive and made us feel like family.  She greeted us on arrival, made sure we were comfortable, pointed us in the right direction for dinner – and even told us the best and most reasonably priced items on the menus!  The next day she and Norbert were most helpful in many ways and made our visit to Weinsberg most pleasurable.  This is the finest experience we have had staying anywhere and plan to return.
