Located on a small village road, we were really pleasantly surprised when discovering the location. It us even better than the pictures of the internet site. There is a very big garden with a pool offering fantastic relaxing possibilities. Away from the main road so it is also really quiet. Rooms are very big, and breakfast is in the average of what you can find in France. Highly recommended in particular in summer. There is a large private parking at 100 m from the main entrance

A bit off of the main roads, but worth the travel

The hotel is not welcoming at all and is ran by a couple who has no knowledge of the service industry.  The gate is closed and one has to phone them to open it and let you in.  The rooms are dated and smell like mold, the mattress is old, uncomfortable and is covered with plastic which makes you sweat a lot at night.  There are spider webs all over in the rooms.  The bathrooms do not have hooks to hang the towels.  The towels smelled like the chemicals used to absorb humidity, it is disgusting to dry yourself with a towel smelling like chemicals.  The breakfast is served in one hour only, and the owners are too busy eating their own breakfast themselves, seating at the best table.  The selection of food at breakfast is very poor.  The pool is also closed and one has to ask the grumpy owner to please open the gate.  If you want to shower before using the pool (which you should anyhow do), once again you have to ask her to connect the water hose to the shower.  The owners seem to be focused on Dutch guests on the older side.  Their French is very limited and only one of them speaks broken English.  The location of this hotel is not good for visiting Beaune, it is too far away and takes a bit of a drive to get there.

Never again

The owners of this charming hotel could not have been kinder. On arrival they booked us a table for dinner at a great local restaurant within walking distance. Our room was clean as was the bathroom. Continental breakfast in the spacious and comfortable dining room had  plenty of options. As we we leaving the owners thoughtfully told us is was market day in Beaune so we popped in for a few pleasant hours before continuing  our journey. We would certainly stay here again.

Exceptional welcome

We spent a night here during a tour in Brourgogne, and we would happily be back again! The hotel is located in a charming old winery and the common areas were very cosy in my taste. The owners of the hotel live in one part of the hotel and they have a large garden with a swimming pool which is open to visitors. Demigny is a very quiet little village, and the owners were very kind to offer help with reserving restaurants and giving good ideas for visits. We had booked three rooms, our advice is to go for the superior rooms as they are more spacious and the beds more comfortable. The breakfast was also nice and the wine we got for our aperitif was very good. Overall a very nice stay.

Charming hotel with large garden

We had a nice stay at La Dominotte, however at times we felt slightly uncomfortable with the way that it is run. It describes itself as a hotel, we think it is more a homestay. When we arrived few minutes after 4pm, we had to wait for quite a while before anyone came to check us in, it clearly says check in opens from 4pm.  Breakfast was alright, lots of croissants, breads, hams, eggs, cheese, jam, juices and yogurts. Martin, was great at breakfast, he came offering tea or coffees and wishing us a good morning. For most of the day we were not at the property, but were sightseeing around Beaune, Dijon and vineyards around. On one of the nights we came back from dinner, we noticed that people were in the back garden so we went out and ordered a glass of wine by the pool, was a very nice wine served by Martin which also came over with a candle as it was getting dark. We though was a very nice touch. 
The room was decent, we had what we needed, a kettle with tea and coffee, perhaps a little mini fridge would be nice to have as it can get quite warm throughout the day. 
The property itself is great. Its a really nice converted barn!
The reason why we are giving average is only because we didn't think that the property should be considered as a hotel, the service you get is limited and the price isn't cheap. We expected much more from a property at €130 per night. We also felt Martin was much more welcoming throughout our stay compare to his wife Mary, which felt a little bit grumpy at times.

Nice stay close to Beaune

Just a perfect place to enjoy the burgundy area in a real burgundy kind off place. Owners are friendly and will run the extra mile for you. They help you decide your daily activities, pick out good restaurants in the area.
