You should be able to get way better stay than this place, for the price charged. The staff may be friendly, but fixing the coldest shower in Central America during three days was way to complex. Or repairing the noisy fan in the room. Or informing that they decided to made the tour 2 hours shorter than planned. I am not impressed.

Poor value, and sleepy staff.

We were unable to find the close by transportation hub that other reviewers mentioned.  Probably because Covid has left its mark.  
This was a nice, clean hostel, well run.  Breakfast was included and was "typico" but they were happy to make substitutions fo vegetarians.  We had the double room on the second floor with a private bath.  It was quiet.  No complaints.

Nice hostel in good location

Excellent hostel in the best area of San Salvador, very hospitalios always waiting for your needs, I left one day, then travelled and returned another day.

Located in the Pink Zone of the City, close to the largest night offer, and in a very quiet and safe neighborhood.The private rooms are super comfortable, spacious and tasteful, the bathrooms are simple but comfortable and have hot water.In the common areas there are sofas, books and many games, there is a giant Jenga super fun to do as a family, the morning bar offers a good budget breakfast.

A hotel for the price of a hostel.

When we go to the capitals, it is difficult to find accommodation that is one of the three Bs good, beautiful and cheap, but not impossible.On the recommendation of others we arrived at this accommodation, which is located in the Rosa area, a very beautiful part of the city, the most luxurious perhaps, in addition to cleanliness and care, you can find a wide variety of bar and disco offers.We were in two rooms, one larger than the other, the two with air conditioning, a comfortable bathroom with hot water, cable TV and wifi was acceptable.What I liked most about the rooms was the image, I liked how they were painted.Days at the bar you can buy a certain for a dollar in a happy hour!From 7:30 to 8:30pm The spaces of the hostel are pleasant, but they also have shared rooms, although we shared them well.

The best hostel to enjoy in San Salvador.

There is a good vibe about the place. Nice common room to sit, even with a guitar to play, cats and dogs mingling with everyone, and the kitchen ladies make nice pupusas in the morning. The pod style beds are comfortable, equipped with light and power outlets, so you do not even feel you are in a dorm. Anyway, La Zona will always be my first choice for accomodation in San Salvador.

You have these hostels that feel like home

Someone needs to update these photos. Local is far more warm and quaint! Loved me stay, the staff, breakfast and all of the people I met. I would come back in a heartbeat. Safe and easy. San Salvador was also a loving surprise. This is also located in a great area. Check out Cadejo brewery nearby, legit amazing local craft beer! The clubs and museum.

Wasn’t expecting to enjoy so much

We booked the Zona for 1 night transit with the Ticabus. It’s conveniently located (right opposite the Ticabus office in San Benito) and the dorms are modern, clean and spacious. They even have pet dogs, super cute! You can pay with card, they have different seating areas, a bar and a kitchen there as well.

We only stayed one night. My friend left early in the morning and they helped her book a taxi to the airport. 

They helped me book a shuttle service to Leon (as the Tica bus was full). They told me the transfer time would be 8 hours. It took 16 hours as apparently we drove to El Tunco, where I had to wait for over an hour to catch up with the bus that was arriving from Antigua, Guatemala.

The showers didn't have any warm water or even luke warm.

The staff felt a bit like they didn't want to be there.

But it was clean and had comfy beds so it worked.

So so

I spend my life in hostels but never notice a comment, whether positive or negative but there too disappointed by the quality and service for the excessive price of a private room called  double : Double room upstairs left: - wifi works badly or just not at the moment or if you are not next to the door. - shower broke the jet through all directions, wanting to fix it I took the electricity, and cold. - no sockets, only 2 sockets but are used by the TV/decorator - bed with softened feet so move. - only one ample out of 4 works which is therefore brightness, no headlamp - the worst part is not to cover the whole part of the window so it's impossible to sleep in the room - but you're obviously missing the toilet paper.
