The breakfast is OK, the only thing you should keep in mind is that the rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator, so if you go with people with knee problems it is a bit uncomfortable.

Good option in Old Havana

I can only rate the restaurant because I've stayed elsewhere. The location is in the beautiful street Mercaderes, very close to the fantastic Plaza Vieja. You can sit inside and enjoy the maritime ambience, or if the weather is good you can watch the Mercaderes drive outside. I had a very delicious breakfast at the Meson de la Flota. Great also that there is no set breakfast, but each can assemble its assortment individually. Delicious sandwiches, fresh crispy fruit, aromatic coffee, obes, whole egg dishes... everything the heart desires in the morning!

It's a great breakfast.

We went to see the flamenco dancing but only two other tables so the dancers and musicians only played intermittently.
Thought the food was average the lobster and drink for 25 cur is very expensive for Havana standard and have had much better .
Was told the performance was included but one of the dancers got very annoyed when we would not tip them. The staff should not say if it is not included as I do not mind tipping at all.

Only go if crowded

At another time this place was distinguished by its good Spanish cuisine in addition to the artistic spectacle of flamenco dance that still exists today with good quality. Only this is why it is worth visiting the place. However, the service is terrible, the food supply is poor and of low quality, high prices. The employees are disrespectful and unwilling to work. They seem to have their problems already solved. Except for someone else who tries to prove professional the rest is even rude. Examples remain in a single visit. They are only focused on the groups of tourists who arrive planned by agencies. They complain that no tourists enter the area. They seem to believe that their sole presence in the place is to offer a good return to this place without any effort from them.

Just for the dance.

Made a reservation for dinner mainly to see the flamenco show and were not disappointed.  We chose the lobster dinner at 25 CUC with one drink and dessert.  It was quite good. The dancing was incredible. The woman lead singer was really good. We bought a DVD as a remembrance of the evening.

El Mesón de la Flota is better known for being a restaurant than for its rooms.The room space in the rooms is spacious and the room itself is fine, however in the room Príncipe de Asturias the bathroom door does not close, it was always open about 25 centimeters.On the other hand, the mattress was in very poor condition, although I must admit that the last day I was there some mattresses arrived that I think were going to change, congratulations!

Good location, poor quality of rest.

Recommended by Lonely Planet, this restaurant is a real scandal. It presents itself as a tapas specialist, but one Saturday night you are told that tapas are not available. You are forced to drop off on the main dishes, which are necessarily much more expensive. Their supposed home specialty is a mix of meat, fish and shrimp presented in large broochettes. The meat is too cooked, the raw limit fish, not tasted the lobster that smelled ammonia to avoid the risk of getting sick. Very incorrect service, the waiters prefer to make personal purchases and traffic in the room instead of taking care of the service.

It's awful!

The paella was hammered, seafood, meat or vegetables, for 25 pesos, including mineral water, paella and coffee, and a flamenco show, so I'd go back to the place right away.

Another Habaguanex chain hotel, which has only 5 rooms, a priori a whole luxury, the maintenance of the same, the service and the lack of preparation of staff to serve customers are NOT up to the level and price of the establishment (No separate reception).

 Deception

Very nice local located in the central location frequented only by tourists so the prices are not really cheap but the music and dance show compensates for the lack of the chef who could definitely do better
