The hotel is small, which makes it interesting because it allows for a better attention of its staff who with me were very attentive and friendly even the kitchen staff who normally do not know one, the hotel is old but by the same token it is different not to expect a luxurious and cool hotel is different as simple as pleasant rooms that allow you to understand a little more the buildings of the past, and well the terrace they have is very good allows to see the morro and the fortress as well as the ships that enter, is close to the tunnels to visit these latter and in a few steps we are also in the tourist area of old Havana, near the avenue del prado and the MALECON, the truth is a very good location, and in a street there are restaurants to eat if you want to do it outside the hotel (my recommendation is the fire)

Small but with the best location.

Very old tired and in need of drastic tlc top to bottom with a good clean, paint and maintenance check through out there could be hope, more thought put into what the tourist expects a descent breakfast if you’re going to offer it ! Staff nice but poor English but we got by with our rusty Spanish, comfy clean bed is all I can say on a positive of the place, good location and a good americano served 

Run down hotel 

The location of the hotel is spectacular in front of the canal that gives access to the bay and with a beautiful view to the Morro.From there it is very easy to visit the city on foot.The services are no big thing, possibly offering quiet rooms.

Well, for one night.

The only good thing about its location was that when we arrived we were told that neither the elevator nor the air conditioner were working (as we know it has been since then).They offered to change our hotel but we said we would stay there so as not to change plans and because it was only for one night.We had to climb up a very narrow service staircase to the third floor, where the magnificent terrace is located.The very old room, the windows not open, and the guy who climbed our suitcases, when he opened the window rolled off and broke.The desuno... quite simple, a plate of fruit, a few hard cookies, milk or coffee and then we made a French tortilla.No te dan choir, or you take it or leave it.The only good thing about the location is that it was a nice tortilla.

No is a hotel, is a hostel.

Nothing recommendable, noisy, dirty, rooms out of the hallway of terror, bathrooms of the last century, no safe, windows that don't turn on the TV because no single channel is seen, and nothing to say about WIFI, is finally a nightmare that I'm going to miss visiting Havana.

The pesadilla is a pesadilla.

Clean hotel with nice terrace giving a beautiful view of old Havana, the fortifications and the Canonazo.

We should try the San Carlos terrace.

I stayed with my family for one night only as my flight arrived at 7pm in Havana and I had to continue the journey to Varadero. I preferred to stay overnight in Havana, visit it the next day and in the afternoon follow the Varadero. this way I avoided a trip to Havana. The location is very good, in front of the canal and in the old Havana which allowed us to visit it on foot. The hotel, although it has some small infrastructure problems, my family and friends are enchanted by the style and ambiance of the rooms. They are very spacious and perfectly clean. The bathrooms have been completely renovated and the breakfast is very complete - the love that our attention was hospitable and pre-arranged.

Pintoresco and Colonial, well built.

The hotel and its surroundings are dirty. Water supply problem, plumbing, plumbing totally failing. We went to take showers in another establishment for 2 days. The bed is dirty mattresses, dirty pillows. the blinds are gray, it is impossible to open the windows, condemned (Rooms 33 and 32) claiming because they offer a bad view...Everything collapses in Havana! for 10 days staying in the room no days... The gray curtain of the salet.

Hotels to be advised against

The hotel is old and you can tell, however it is true that the service is good for Habana. The rooms has incredible high ceilings is big and clean. They do need a fresh up on the rooms and areas but is acceptable. 

Good location and good service

Positive: original decoration (furniture, moulds and stained glass), reception, advice, situation, views. Large, pretty couple room, bathroom OK. Negative: the windows, nice with stained glass, but not insulated, overlook a very busy alley all night, two restaurants with music in the background until late at night. Very moderate lunches. Wifi by card, not convenient but like almost everywhere in Cuba.
