Came here for a week with family. Excellent location close to beach and restaurants, shops but still quiet. Lovely staff and welcome. Great room with very comfortable bed and nice shower, very clean.
Very good kitchen and cooking facilities with supermarkets nearby. Good WiFi and lounge with television.
Garden is a bit small and there was a slight smell of sewage on the ground floor near our room (I think, due to the drainage system). Therefore suggest you ask for a room on the 1st. Floor.
The other guests were nice and it seemed secure. 
Would have given 5 stars, but for the smell.

Lovely location, people and facilities (bedroom, kitchen etc.). Great for people who want to cook for themselves.

It's obvious this place is mismanaged. I slept a night in my car after feeling uncomfortable in my room due to roach activity. I WhatsApped the front desk as instructed by their MANY signs on their front desk (it's a little absurd). I was continuously told to text back later because they weren't the right person to talk to or that they couldn't do anything for me. They literally just replied to my messages with sad face emojis....so unprofessional.  I was refused a refund because of a 48 hour cancellation policy through Bookings.com...really? I wouldn't have to cancel last minute if there weren't cockroaches in my BED.  Stay across the street at Tropical Dominical.  Much nicer and nice owners.

We were very well received during our stay by the owners who were equals and remained available in case of questions or for board rental. Our room and kitchen were very clean.

Super Hostel

I spent a week of seven days in Dominical and stayed at the Cool Vibes when I came over. The owners are super friendly and available. A nice big room with a double bed and in addition I had my own bathroom. The hostel is located 1 minute from the beach and 5 minutes from the cleanest grocery store. I recommend the Cool Vibes. Thank you again for the hospitality.😁

Feeling at home

We stayed for 5 nights at cool vibes and it worked fine.  It is a hostel so it's not 5 star, but it was clean and comfortable.  We met many people there and the common space was comfortable.  It's literally steps to the beach, so that was a plus.  And everything was walkable to town.

Cute place, comfortable and not too expensive

I booked my room , used credit card for payment ,got confirmation number ,arrived to hostal . I was told my reservation cancelled because my credit card is invalid.
Total lie . My credit card was active . That was thier way to bring excuse and cancell my reservacion .

Ok location at the end of the village. Reception seemed friendly. Looks can be deceiving, at first the impression of a grander resort. Could be cleaner. Beds surprisingly bony, compared with more comfortable mattresses in less touristy parts.
If not a surfmonkey, Dominical does for an overnight but lingering no. Not with Man Ant up the road, and awesome Osa down & across.

Vibes

This hostel has a fabulous location steps from the beach and within a quick walk of various restaurants and a small grocery store in Dominical.  The room was very clean.  I wouldn't compare it to a three-star hotel, but it's a great option if you're on a budget or will be satisfied with basic accommodations.  We had planned to stay three nights, but checked out after only one after discovering that they did not have hot water and didn't know when it would be repaired.  It was disappointing that they didn't mention the issue when we checked in but left us to discover it when showering.  They were working on resolving the issue, though.

Great location

· Not much. Coffee at will can be. · Approximate cleanliness. And for the quality of the bed -sheet glue - you'll have to go through it again. Ventilator simulating the sound of a tractor in the room. Bathroom sink closed. Smell in bathroom towels. Smell of cannabis in the corridors, as for the reception, we arrive under water trunks, we're told to read an internal regulation (others already received in advance by mail) as if we had 12 years of service, and we're promptly asked for our passports (we've stayed in the car with our luggage, we've asked to go to the kitchen afterwards to avoid cleaning ourselves) We're looking for baggage bags, we're not looking for small bags, we're not looking for a private bathroom.

What to Avoid

We stayed over the New Year, 2019. We expected it to be a bit noisy, as many places are on 31st Dec, but it was very quiet, which suited us. Quiet time was from 10pm! Our room was a double ensuite, clean, very fair price, free coffee, good security, great wifi and there's a kitchen to use. We didn't as there are some good food options nearby - Mono Congo, Phat Noodle and also Mama Toucan's for excellent picnic and takeaway (lots of vegan options). The beach is just 2 minutes walk away, and sunsets from there are very special. We'll be back to stay at this hostel in 2020, it's great.
