It’s a perfect vacation away from city, quiet resort with nice surroundings, really had a wonderful time after Chinese national day peak season, you know what, it’s a unique building as it’s interior design for now appears like a museum where you can lost some time , or if you can even produce an ancient film. But the most outstanding I think is from the staff at the hotel, especially thanks to manager Mr. Wilson which he is a really great guy helps us a lot!

The hotel is right at the Convention centre. The lobby is grand with a magnificent chandelier, check in was nice and quick. Glad to have earlier access to the room since a very early arrival in Qingdao, I did call the hotel in advance the manager Wilson is very helpful and happily accept my request. The room is spacious and clean. The only downside is the distance away from the city centre.

I can recommend this hotel very much. The team is doing a great job. 
The staff was very helpful with any requests. 
The facilities are what you expect from Crown Plaza, very good.
For business travelers like me a perfect choice.


Hotel is located directly on the beach, just exit rear of hotel and you are on the great sandy beach. Hotel has an excellent Japanese restaurant with authentic Japanese food and at great prices. The staff was all excellent and very attentive up to and including the General Manager. Hotel is right next to and connected to the Hot Springs. The room are large and spacious and well maintained. The housecleaning staff was great and helpful.

This was our first time visiting this hotel, my family and I enjoyed this holiday. The location is a bit far from the city which we could totally escape from noise. The room was spacious and luxuriously appointed. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly. The gym facility and swimming pool were excellent. Will go there again.

This is a beautiful hotel. We stayed on the 21st floor, room 2116 for six nights. Our 2 beds were soft and very comfortable. Two bottles of water were free each day. Other beverages are available in the small refrigerator, as are glasses and mugs on the small bar. The bathroom was average by American standards. Large windows give a great view of the harbor and building lights display from 7-9 pm. The TV had cable with a few English speaking channels. The entry door and bathroom doors need repair - swollen and will not shut easily, especially the bathroom. Bathroom was clean but needs re-caulking. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and is located in a beautiful restaurant. Lobby is impressive. The Staff are friendly, very helpful and speak English. The hotel is next to a super market. The hotel has an ATM and high-end shopping, plus WiFi.

I've stated a lot of wonderful resorts around the world, but the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, was by far, one of the very best.

The staff, is so professional, yet very friendly, warm and helpful.

The dining area, has a great selection of food.

And, William, the General Manager, does a fantastic job, leading his team and getting everybody to perform their part.

I was there with my Chinese girlfriend, and we enjoyed the romantic setting, overlooking the ocean.

I can't wait for another visit at Crown Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort the very next time I visit China and Qingdao!

Good hotel. Very big. Rooms are good and clean. Good house keeping. Good staff. Only two restaurants I visited. One for dinner and one for breakfast. Vegetarian selection is very less. All with meat fish or shrimp
Good people even though very less English speaking

We went for a quiet family staycation during the off-season, on a weekday, for American Thanksgiving.  The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous, even if they weren't very fluent in English.  We spent a leisurely and relaxing afternoon at the hot spring facilities attached to the hotel.  Most of the indoor and outdoor pools were open and the water slides operated during the posted times, even though there were very few people using the facilities.  Although there wasn't a special Thanksgiving dinner available, we had a delicious dinner of Sichuan dishes at their Chinese restaurant.  The presentation of the food was elegantly done and the staff were very accommodating. We were upgraded to Seaview rooms, which were breathtaking and peaceful.  The rooms were very spacious, especially the bathrooms, which are equipped with bathtubs and separate glass enclosed showers.  The rooms were a bit worn, but clean and comfortable.  Our whole extended family really loved the vast variety of the buffet breakfast.  Everything was fresh and quite tasty.  Although there weren't many people there, there was a full spread of international and local breakfast choices.  We will definitely go back for future staycations.

Wonderful Choice for Qingdao Staycation

Nice resort

Beautiful hotel with beachfront and a big outdoor pool.Room was a little bit worn down but decent size and with required amenities.Hotel staff were helpful even if the english level is not that high.Special thanks to Mr. Wilson for taking good care of us on our arrival.Japanese restaurant on the hotel grounds is a must, food was amazing.Generally a nice experience at this hotel, the only downside is the distance to the city of Qingdao

Pure luxury at its best!

Stopped for 4 nights during a business meeting in the hotel.  It is a very impressive hotel.  The comfort of the room , the conditions for meetings and the restaurant were already at a very high level,  but a lot of small details that would improve to reach the 5-star level (room 5016). Pool and spa area I can safely recommend for a visit.

It locates at a sparsely populated area. It took us almost 2 hours to drive there from hotel in the downtown. Didn’t stay in the hotel, just experienced the sea spring. Not too many people on weekday, I can occupy a small pool myself. There were both indoor and outdoor pools, the indoor ones were just enough for me. Very hot, relaxing and comfortable.
