178 reviewsWe lived in The Connaught for 2.5 years from mid 2022 until February 2025 (whilst we decided whether we would be leaving or staying in HK long term) and we very much enjoyed our time there. We started in a mid-floor room and moved to a high floor after a few months. The location is very good: 2 minutes to the nearest MTR entrance and with many bus routes passing by; Sun Yat-Sen Park and the waterfront promenade are also a couple of minutes away. The rooms are big - about 700sq.ft net with just two per floor with each side getting its own lift; there is very little noise from adjacent rooms. The studio layout works well with a wonderful view over the western harbour from the king-size bed and the large window seat (see photo). The bathrooms are large (very large by HK standards) and our high floor room had a proper bathtub big enough for a large person to wallow in (and a shower over with good pressure). There is a small, but reasonably well-equipped gym available 24*7, and self-use (free) laundry facilities (3 washers and 3 dryers between about 50 apartments which means congestion only occasionally). There are no other facilities on site, but the front-desk/concierge is very helpful and happy to receive deliveries etc. There is also on-site maintenance 6 days a week which means that any issues with the apartment get fixed very quickly. Cleaning is twice a week with some flexibility (for long-term residents at least) to schedule it at your convenience. Linens and towels are changed at least once per week. There were a couple of things that were less than perfect for us: - the "kitchen" is a bit minimal: a 2 ring electric hob, a microwave, a toaster, and a one-door under counter fridge. But the room has enough space that we added a second fridge of our own; - the only window that can be opened is in the bathroom, so fresh air is a bit limited (although the aircon is good) - there is only a certain amount of storage - plenty if you're just coming for a few months and the bulk of your belongings are staying elsewhere, but otherwise you may need to add some storage of your own (we added a bookshelf and had some storage boxes behind the sofa, which was fine because the living area is relatively large). We found the pricing for long-term stays to be very reasonable, especially considering that it includes utilities, wireless internet (which was solid if not spectacularly fast), cleaning, towels & linen, and access to a gym. The price goes up the higher the floor. Again, overall our stay was excellent; the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and we left only because we decided to stay in HK and found the right apartment for us with the 3 things listed above that The Connaught doesn't have.
