New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel

This was my first visit to Hong Kong and I really have to say it is without doubt the most breathtaking city I have ever visited. I chose the New World Millennium hotel as one of the suggested hotels by British Airways Holidays, I could not have chosen more wisely! I was greeted at check-in by the most fantastic and enthusiastic hotel staff, I must mention Edmund who personally checked me in and ran me through all of the hotel facilities and amenities but during my 4 night stay I found everyone to be extremely competent and accommodating. Another shout out go's to Danny who served me every morning at breakfast and had my name from day one, I'm sure he's a local but has the broadest Californian accent (Californians will correct me I'm sure) as I'm a Londoner. I upgraded to a higher floor as recommended by Edmund for unbelievable harbour views. This hotel is "Low Rise" in comparison to other buildings (15 floors) but its strategic harbour front line location offers uninterrupted views of the end of the old Kai Rak runway to Victoria peak in one panorama. The nightly lazer show is also visible from the 15th floor lounge which serves fantastic food and drink, though the show is better viewed from the 10 minute walk along a beautiful promenade to the Signal Hill area. Go to Hong Kong soon you will be overwhelmed by all it has to offer but mostly by it's lovely people. I was there late July early August, very hot and humid but A/C absolutely everywhere. For Brits its still the standard 13amp 3 pin Electric socket so take whatever you like......no adaptors required.....
