Lavande Hotel Wuhan Huanghelou Branch

The hotel is about 30m down an alley off Jiefang road, between the shops, and quiet, away from the bustling crowds. Check-in and out was fine and efficient, even though I had no reservation, and the room was clean though clearly not recently decorated. Bathroom clean and show hot, especially essential when its 38 C outside! No breakfasts, but plenty of eating places on the streets outside. I paid about 300 per night - this is high season, and I had no prior booking. I would definitely stay here again, its location is especially good - plenty of eateries open until late, and its a short walk down Minzhu road to the ferry from where you can cross the Yangtse the old fashioned way. No idea if the staff speak English.
