Huazheng Business Hotel

What can a person say about the 3rd night away from the comforts of the family home and not even an overnight bag? I do not have much to compare in hotels from China apart from the previous 2 nights in Beijing... I am a European, so please forgive me if I compare western standards against eastern culture. But having said that, I was more than pleasantly surprised! Front of house were efficient and did not make a fuss about dealing with a passport holder instead of China I.D. so check in was made simple ands completed within minutes. Lift and corridors were clean and tidy (even with the time being close to midnight and no cleaning staff to be seen). Room cost less than 300CNY and compared with many hotels I have used through business in the UK at a cost of more than double, with the Huazheng providing same or higher quality facilites, the most surprising was when I awoke late the next morning I found the room fronted the main road and the train station with very little sound disturbance - even with the Chinese love of using the horns on their vehicles! I would highly recommend and the only reason I did not rate as a 5 overall is that I did not make use of the restaurant or swimming pool because I was unaware of such facilities being available.
