Our Rental was exceptional. Just outside the business of downtown but close enough. The layout of the 2 bedroom Apartment was perfect. A bedroom and bathroom either side of the Lounge and excellent kitchen ensured separation. Having an empty Pantry Cupboard for our groceries etc., was rare and bliss. I don’t want to be confronted by the detritus of strangers and I want somewhere to store our groceries. Everything in the kitchen was upmarket. The Laundry was fabulous and the Dryer was the first I have used which has not shrunk clothes. The elevator was fast and allocated Basement Car parking was perfect. I chose Apartment for the Lake view, which was lovely, but the Mountain Views from Strand are stunning. The definition of Vernon. The beautiful Mountains.

Fastidious facility. Quiet. Outstanding location and views.

The only complaint I have about the strand is I did not book longer. It was an amazing place for my wife 2 year old son and 3 month old baby. The view was breath taking. We will be back every summer, the rooms were huge and have all the comforts of home. The pool was a big hit with the kids and all around great vibe 

Best family vacation ever 

After looking for hotel accommodations, I came across this jewel.  I called and Sherry was so helpful.  We arrived and were pleased there were two master bedrooms and a full kitchen.  So comfortable and just like being at home.

The pool area was lovely and the amenities were great.  It was easy to check in and check out.  Ate in and the BBQ was fantastic.  I would definitely go back.  Not sure about the negative reviews on here...but our experience was first class.  Thanks Sherry for all your support.  See you soon.

Great accommodations!

This was the first and the last time I will stay at the Strand Resort in Vernon BC. Although the grounds are kept cleaned and neatly manicured, the room we had rented was filthy, and when I complained to the manager they were rude. I will never go back again.

Dirty rooms and rude staff

We stayed at the Strand over the Easter weekend.  We found the grounds pristine, the resort quiet and the atmosphere perfect for a weekend getaway.  The courtyard was very clean and there was a well attended Easter egg hunt yesterday.  The kids and parents had a great time.  The hot tub was clean and quiet and the landscaping had had the spring clean up completed.  The parkade was very clean and secure.  I guess if I had to find "something" to complain about, it would be the noisy geese in the morning - hey that's a lot better than my morning commute at home.

Brenda is Wrong

This is the second time my family stayed at the Strand, and the first time I would have given it 4 stars, now, one is being generous. 

The staff have been fired, so there is no one at the Strand to assist with anything. There is dog feces everywhere on the grounds. The non-smoking atmosphere that they once advertised, is gone. The entire courtyard is surrounded by smokers and butts litter the grounds. But all that isn't nearly as bad as what I'll share next. The place is just dangerous now. We'll never go back. When I was there I saw at least a dozen drug deals right in the parking lot. There are late-night, loud parties that are in the hot-tub and in the parking lot.

The underground parking lot has people wondering around, looking in cars. And I saw one guy taping the emergency doors to the buildings so they couldn't be locked and then I saw him return later and use those taped doors to get into the buildings with several friends. 

I talked to some owners there and they talked about how bad they want to sell because of how horrible the situation has become and even more evident by how many places are for sale at that place. 

My advice - avoid. There are better places. Safer places. Don't make the same mistake we did.  I'll never go back.

Beware

We went to this complex room 1312. 2 rooms, very spacious with a good bed. The positive points: the place is quiet, the view of the terrace is beautiful (mountain and lake corner), the complex is clean, there is an interior parking lot, the pool is very nice. Negative points: lots of gaps!! There is a big tree and the terrace is full of gaps.. lunch is impossible outside!! On arrival... we can only arrive from 4:00... and at 5:00... there is no one more! We waited 45 minutes for the keys... and the person was not very nice! $160 handling fee... but in 4 days, no cleaning, no more toilet paper and not enough toilet paper or service! There is no small bathroom and bathroom... but we have a super nice bathroom... but we have a super nice bathroom and bathroom... but we have a super nice bathroom... but we have a super nice bathroom for the bathroom... but we have a super nice bathroom!!
