Read all excellent reviews on this site and trust them, we did and were so pleased. Stayed for two nights on May long weekend, wished it was longer. I highly recommend Cusheon Cove cottage if you are visiting Salt Spring, just not during the week we are planning for next year. Location on south end of island provided great view of Captains Passage, and evening fires were only wonderful. Cannot imagine a nicer facility on the Island. Excellent service by hosts, very kind. Book here if it is available, you shan't be disappointed.

We happened upon this place while trying to avoid heading home after a lovely day-trip to Salt Spring.  They happened to have a one-night availability in their cottage.  We booked a return stay before we left...  I can't imagine a more-perfect place for a retreat.

This past week was our third stay at Cusheon Cove and we're looking forward to going back next year.  The location is perfect if you desire quietness and solitude.  A few feet from the water's edge, with the forest at our back-door, it was hard to imagine we were so close to civilization.  We love to walk, and there's plenty of opportunity for that, with trails radiating from the guesthouse.  In the evening, we sat out on the lawn and saw BC Ferries vessels in the distance.

The website states that self-serve continental breakfast is available, and when we arrived the fridge was well stocked with juices, bannanas, oranges, eggs, bread, butter, jams, yogart, coffee, cream, sugar, etc.  Blueberries and strawberries were in season and they were also in the fridge.  We bought food in the Ganges grocery store, and at the end of the day were able to cook our own supper.

They are pet friendly and have a large, friendly dog that roams around the extensive property.  Our dog had a great time playing with their dog.

The owners, Chris and Janthra, are very friendly.  Chris has lived in the area for quite a while and is quite knowledgeable about its history; he can answer many questions one might have at this very historic site on Salt Spring Island.

I have been all over BC and my stay in the cottage with my girlfriend and our two dogs, was my favourite of all-time. It's a 20-minute drive from town. It feels like you're driving to the middle of nowhere and then there you are, in the middle of nowhere. If that's what you're looking for, you'll be in heaven like we were. The property is on a secluded cove, steps to the ocean and steps to some of the best trails on the island. The dogs were like cats, coming and going as they pleased. The cottage is small but perfect for two and has everything you need and more. The hosts, Chris and Janthra were both welcoming and so helpful. Janthra is a Thai Chef and she prepared the most amazing Thai dinner for us with foods fresh from the garden. They have a boat you can take out, apples growing on their property, and fresh eggs and vegetables all from the property. If you want to get away from it all, whether you have a dog or not, go here as soon as you can.

Absolutely great! Sits on a private cove nestled in Ruckle provincial park and overlooks the Georgia Straits (Pacific Ocean) This is a slice of heaven. They take large dogs and their lab Finn will be there to play with them. Down a windy dirt road and opening on to beautiful meadows the scene looks like it is from the 1800's. The road ends at the ocean with a beautiful, majestic log cabin with 2 charming outbuildings: the Loft and the Cottage. There are beautiful working gardens with chickens of which you are handed several of their eggs in a basket with other homemade goodies upon arrival. The price was incredibly reasonable. If you want peace and quiet with lots of amenities and hiking trails this is the spot! I know it's mine.

Wish I Could Keep this Place a Secret!

Called to inquire about staying a night in the loft. The lady on the phone said they usually only sell for two nights but would make an exception for me. I told her I would call her back after speaking with my partner about going for 2 nights. When I called back, 20 mins later, she told me she that someone else already booked the place saying "that's business" and then hung up one me. Unbelievable.
