Great location in Lunenberg.  Parking is on the street.

Our stay was very relaxing and full of fun. We especially liked the tour of the area .

We absolutely loved room #18! So bright with a huge skylight that opens out into the air, overlooking the water and the quaint Lunenburg buildings. From start to finish it was most enjoyable and we enjoyed meeting Tim who happily welcomed us to the property.

Beautiful room 5 overlooking the waterfront. Met the owner who was fantastic and gave us lots of tips. Would definitely return

Perfect location for our weekend in Lunenburg. Close to restaurants, shops and the Opera House. Sparkling clean with all the conveniences.

Great little hotel. I certainly arrived off hours but the owner lives on premises and was around to get me situated and comfortable after a long flight. He took the time to give me a quick overview of the dozen restaurants/bars along the Main Street, which was busiest when and what was the best time and order to go to which.

The room was comfortable, spacious, clean and everything was great. I would definitely recommend this and stay again if I ever get back to Lunenburg.

The view, the bed, the fridge (with a freezer), no stairs to climb with our over abundance of luggage , a balcony, and the wonderful lady at check-in (Hailey), everything was perfect. Although it was a short stay, it was lovely and we will be back again!

Fantastic location.  The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.   Nice views from the balcony, but it was worn down and needed some updating.  Parking can be a challenge, however I would stay here again.

Excellent stay, great location, accommodation was nice as were the hosts!

June 4 day stay in Lunenburg

Balcony Beers and Ocean Views!

This is a nice little hotel in the heart of Lunenburg. Tim was just a joy to check into the hotel with. The beds were very comfy and the location key to exploring the cute little town. Room 5 has a lovely balcony area with a view of the water. Definitely put this on your radar for a stay in the area. It’s a unique property.

We’d Run Back to the Rum Runner!

The inn was very clean, and the staff were super friendly which for the maritimes would have been uncommon if they weren't.  Our room was lovely and we had our own balcony overlooking the harbour.  Would definitely recommend to other travellers. There are plenty of excellent places to eat within walking distance.  The only real downside is the parking is the pits but other than that everything was wonderful!

Fall Trip

I couldn't figure out the "Smart" TV in the evening... wanted to watch the first World Series game ... called the desk. The young man on the desk was very nice but couldn't do anything to help -- he didn't understand the TV either. So I missed the game. Its nice to say "call the desk if you have any problems" but what's the point if the person can't help? Someone needs to be available who understands these TVs.

Fantastic stay in Room 10 with enclosed veranda and view of the harbour in a corner room with windows on 2 sides. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable.  The Inn was in an excellent location and free parking close by on the street.  Really enjoyed the room and the town.  Get 15% discount on the Walking Tour if you mention the Rum Runner Inn which was a highlight of the visit.

Great place to stay in a fantastic town to visit

OMG. That was our honest reaction when we walked into this room. We were lucky enough to book one of the suites that came with a sunporch that overlooked the waterfront and harbor, and OH MY THAT VIEW!  If we weren't determined to walk around Lunenburg to see the sites and grab dinner, we would have been happy as clams to cuddle up with a bottle of wine and some snacks on that warm, sunny porch for the entire evening (especially perfect since it had been a cold, windy few days outside!) I'll dream of that room and view for weeks to come!

The Rumrunner in couldn’t be more perfectly located on the waterfront of Lunenburg. The room was spacious, very comfortable, with a wonderful balcony and tremendous views.I think the only negative was the tarp on the roof from a previous storm came down and impinged on our side view after a serious windstorm. Tim and his daughter Haley were very friendly and helpful.

In the heart of Lunenburg.

Fabulous location. The room we occupied had a view of the harbour and Bluenose II was at anchor. The property could use some repair as many of the windows were screwed shut and no screens on the ones we could open. The stairs to the rooms are steep and narrow. Overall the view and location made up for any shortfalls.

Rumrunner is right on the main street of Lindenberg, which makes it very easy to walk to the harbor which the backside faces, including a little veranda that you can sit on and look at the water if you don’t have a waterfront view from your room which we did not. Great restaurants and shopping right out the door. We went  on an excellent walking tour of Lunenburg easy to reach on foot charming town great history. Our room had super comfortable bed and great shower  The only reason I give this a four and not a five is that the entrance/reception area and  first floor where owners live could be improved to be more charming not cluttered, carpeting on stairs is dayed/brown indistrial with detracts from the rest of the charm od the oropert.
