The place has a very nice river inside the hostel. But the hostel structure is mostly measured by other factors reported below. We arrived at the hostel around 6:30 p.m. We came in 2 couples with 4 teenagers and 01 8-year-old child. We were told that there would be no dinner but if requested they would deliver it to the hostel. Unfortunately this did not happen and we had to grab dinner in Itamont, having to drive 18kms further. Another negative point is that the Internet only works in the owner's house, some very close to it. Because we left early the next day we didn't have the breakfast that's worth it. Another suggestion: knowing that there would be a group of 9 people, being 04 teenagers and 01 child, I could actually solve this by offering a little dinner without paying attention to the owner and not paying a little attention to the other person and charging for the dinner.

I wouldn't recommend the inn.

We went to the two-family hostel, the rooms were poorly maintained, there was no service except for breakfast (which was not served early), and the lack of staff was evident by the state of the establishments.

It's bad.

Beautiful place, lush nature. Chateaux reserved relaxing and quiet environment. Château near the waterfall. Sauna dries the cozy wood. Community kitchen equipped with utensils, stove, oven, toaster, fridge and others. Lack of hospitality and assistance. The chalet needs repairs mainly the bed/mattress. From the beginning there were difficulties in finding the owner/responsible of the establishment or employees. The sauna was accessed by us guests without assistance. On the last day we were without water and we could not attend, there were no available to report what was there. We felt a lack of wifi availability closed. The common area for access to the outside was wifi, wind and cold, little light.

A weekend in touch with nature, lack of hospitality.

I went with a group of friends at the end of the year and I was disappointed. The nature is wonderful, the river is beautiful, yet the inn leaves much to be desired. Marcia's reception was terrible, the wifi where it should have worked didn't work, the cabins are super poorly maintained, we had problems with light and hot water, and it smells like mold. The kitchen where guests can cook is horrible. The sink is always old and rusty. I don't recommend staying, there must have been better lodgings on site to appreciate the amazing nature.

Disappointed

Great place to relax and recharge the batteries. Inside the hostel there is a river. We sleep with the noise of the water. Sensational. The hostel is rustic. There is no TV and the cell phone doesn't answer. It has wifi, but with a very weak signal. But this was the cool thing. We didn't miss it at all. The room is simple and very clean. Due to the pandemic, not serving breakfast. You can take everything and use a community kitchen, super charming and complete, which is right next to the river. It even has a barbecue. If you don't want to cook, Marcia offers some ready, delicious dishes.

It's an incredible place, lush nature.

The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature and a clear river. The nature is super lush! However, there was a lack of hospitality and hospitality in relation to the service. Furthermore, I missed being clear about the procedures and protocols that are needed at this time of the pandemic. The internet was very oscillating for classes or video conferences.

Nice place, little hospitality

We spent three days, the whole family, in Pousada Rio Alto with the excellent attention of Marcia and Ariadne, not to mention Happy and Pitanga, all very pleasant and super well taken care of, we felt at home, not to mention the food, both breakfast and meals, and we'll be back soon... thank you Marcia and Ariadne!

That's great.

My wife and I have spent a couple of days at this bed & breakfast owned by a lovely couple.
The ambience is simple , cozy and they really make you feel like being home.
The chalet is not very spacious, reasonable for a couple though. 
The food is awesome, natura, organic and really delicious.
We met there thoughtful, very bright and lovely people and when we left we had made several new marvellous friends.
Be alert in the programs and activities that happen there like Yoga, Healing music, meditation, Shamanic Rituals and other kind of alternative quest for living in peace and with much love.
Definitely we will be back to this wonderful and magic place.

Hidden Gem in most beautiful mountains in Southeast Brasil

Wonderful place and wonderful hosts, making you feel like you're staying at a friend's place. Everyone seems to be enjoying life to the fullest, including the trouts in the river ;) Amazing food and scenery, a must-go for everyone wanting to escape the city chaos for a while and recharge their batteries.

Luittle piece of heaven

If only I could stay at Estancia Rio Acima all the time! Magical waterfalls, delightful saunas and hot tubs, delicious food and such a welcoming atmosphere it really feels like home... they even have lovely dogs who would love to join you if you fancy going walking in the beautiful countryside, and the most gorgeous little cats. Can't recommend Marcia and Forest's wonderful pousada more highly - nectar for the soul.
