Pousada Villa Minduba

We were looking online for hotels near Praia dos Carneiros and we found this. We booked here because it was considerably cheaper than other options in the area. It was significantly farther than we anticipated and it was hard to get there (the roads are in questionable condition). When we arrived we were delighted by the house and the owner who greeted us. She speaks several languages and was very kind with us all the time. The building is lovely and it has a garden that has been taken care with great dedication (it's full of flowers, trees, and occasional monkeys). There is a lovely porch with tables (were breakfast is served). And the garden ends in the pool area, where there are wood floor and an astonishing view over the sea. This is one of the most peaceful places I have ever been. I recommend seeing the sunset here. Also great place to do a yoga practice. About the room I have two different opinions because we were in two different rooms. The first 6 days we were in the main room, which is huge and gorgeous. The last day we were moved to another room, significantly smaller and less comfortable. One thing to consider is that there is no wifi at all, but if you are there to disconnect yourself from the buzz it may be just what you need. Breakfast is very good in quality and taste, but it could be better in variety. Dinner is an issue, the pousada doesn't offer any and the nearest option is more than half an hour away driving. It was absolutely lovely and I plan to go back! Nevertheless, I have to admit that after 7 days I was a bit tired of the commuting that staying here required. Summarizing: + Friendly staff + Beautiful garden and porch + Impressive view of the sea + The main room + Breakfast + Clean and nice swimming pool + Peaceful and relaxing + Clean + Great attention to details - Far away from Praia dos Carneiros - Difficult to get there, road in poor condition - No place nearby to have dinner - A lot of difference between one room and another - No wifi
