B&B La Belle Histoire Laforêt

Critical for a week of hiking is sleep quality (and we are quite fussy about that): This B&B has the best bed we have ever slept in (and good size 180 x 210 meters) outside of our own, really good pillows, not a sound heard from other rooms (despite full house) and the village Laforêt is completely silent at night, so you can actually sleep with an open window. Room temperature in our north facing room (called "Laforêt") stayed pleasantly cool despite sun and >25 degrees outside. Outside area in the shade is really great for post-hike unwinding with a cold beer (fridge is filled with beers & wine). Superior advice on route selection and modification from Antoinette. Delicious breakfast with fresh bread, charcuterie, cheese and freshly prepared eggs, yogurt with fruit as well as pancakes some days. The real treat is the 3-course dinner you can sign up for on Fridays and Saturdays – a gourmet feast not to be missed. Good wine selection.
