B&B Le Rideux

Stayed there for the weekend and rented the Hert. Very clean and cozy place with own kitchen and bathroom. The private sauna is amazing with the view on the area so if you like sauna it a must to use it !!  The location is very good reachable and you can go from there to nice locations such as Wéris, Durbuy etc... 
we would visit again if we are in the area .


Super B & B and great friendly service 

this b&b ticks all the boxes. 

comfort - we stayed in the large Hinde appartment. spacious - easily suitable for a family with kids or two couples, the view (huge windows on the first floor) is stunning; looking out on the well kept, big garden and the valley, cosy, modern and comfortable design. 2 large bedrooms, a huge bathroom and a nice living space with a kitchen with all necessary appliances, the adjoining terrace is sunny. 

facilities - breakfast is really good, large variety, including some local products and great coffee. loved the natural pool. there are a lot of nice comfy lounge chairs on the grounds. 

service - the owners are very friendly and easy going. they are service minded, in a pleasantly discrete way. they know the area well and are always available to give advice on restaurants, outings etc. a dinner option is offered at the b&b several days a week, which we didn't do. 

location - gorgeous surroundings. great area for biking and walking. Durbuy (20 min drive) is -we found- the nicest town in the Ardennes, picture perfect, maybe even a little chic, with a good offer of restaurants. the nearest supermarket is about 10 min drive from the b&b. the closer-by villages of Heyd and Weris are gorgeous, however don't have many facilities. 

le Rideux's rooms certainly are good value for money, to my opinion.  
in short; perfect option when going for countryside Ardennes! well recommended.

relaxed & comfortable on scenic top location

I'm used to traveling solo with my little dog Tom. Enchanted by the charm of the establishment, I had to go to the Rideux from 10 to 12 August 2017. Following an inquiry, the owner seems surprised that I'm coming alone with my little dog. She means to me that dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room and that they can't bark! My room being on the ground overlooking the pool and garden I inform her that I can't guarantee that my dog won't bark if there's a passage in front of the room alone while I bark. After reflection and no desire to spend 3 days with the fear that Tom might eventually bark, I actually need to admit their email to them in the hotel and say that my dog was not even in the garden. I also learned that if I had a few days to leave them alone, I would not have to let them go.

Let's say tolerated.

We booked this B&B the day before and luckily they were able to accomodate us. We stayed in the room with the fireplace (there are a few different options available). In short the house is stunning. A project the family have been building from scratch and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pictures on here dont do it justice so ive added a few to show it off. We felt so welcome. There is a a huge balcony with beautiful views. If you are thinking of staying near Durbuy this is a must. Only 10min drive away from Durby and the village of Heyd has drinking and dining options also (we recommend LMP grill!). Such a relaxing break, super comfy beds, loved the decor in the room! Im rambling now, just book it! Would love to go back.

Durbuy is overcrowded, it's nice to go there for the Christmas market with friends, but for the housing it's better to isolate yourself, and the address Le Rideux with its owner (we haven't seen Mr.) and all just great... nice housing, great breakfast, very good shelter and what a view!

Very nice place to drop off on a weekend in Durbuy

My sister and I rented the little cottage to spend a weekend in the green with our two-year-old daughters. We had a wonderful stay there. The lovely young couple who ran this establishment gave us a very warm welcome. The cottage is lovely and well-arranged, modern and clean. The view of the room is simply magical! Our daughters have enjoyed the scenery and the clean air. Beautiful walks around and incredible encounters with deer on the road to Durbuy which, by the way, is a lovely little town. We loved it and will definitely come back!

Little green cottage: Perfect for disconnecting!

For two women aged 60+ years, a bed stuck in a corner, not easy to access...especially at night for small needs you have to spend on each other! The bed is a real hard board. The shower at the foot of the bed is ultra transparent glass no privacy. The bathroom at the foot of the bed, has a western saloon no privacy guaranteed no noises and smells. It's been around for 7 years and no documentation in French! Mirrors everywhere! A radiator that only worked half an hour before we left! A wood stove right next to the bed, but a roasted ham smell to sleep on. Very high TV and a single post.

a fucked up weekend

Beautiful countryside, close to Durbuy and the Spa Francorchamps F1 circuit. Newly build in the style that fits the surroundings. Sauna facilities available including an outdoor pool. Very friendly couple that runs the place.
