Chisto Hotel

Visiting Gomel, Belarus, then there's no finer place to stay than the Chisto Hotel. This modern hotel is quite unique in many ways, first of all, it's facilities; Sauna, Garage, Cafe, Restaurant, and of course.. the hotel itself... Signage around the site for the English only speaker could be clearer, but, once you're to grips where everything is, it's simple. Ample parking is available on site, and reception is well lit and presented. Staying in a large family room on the top floor, we found all facilities to be better than expected, with a powerful large walk in shower, and good ablution facilities. The beds were comfortable (also using a sofa bed), and the linen clean and crisp. The room was spacious, and heated well with the temperature dropping rapidly. Dining is available at the Chisto restaurant alongside the hotel. This place is filled with charachter, and the food of exceptional quality. Breakfast is served in the basement function room, and was plentiful, and again, of good quality. A choice of cerals, warm egg, and meats, as well as salads and yoghurts were available. Check out was easy. The staff spoke perfect English, and were a little wary of me as a foreigner, but, this was soon broken down (as always in Belarus) with a warm smile and a joke. We will stay here again!
