This hotel is in excellent location for the centre.
It is clean, comfortable with friendly staff. The breakfast is generously varied, healthy and beautifully presented. 

The restaurant food is of good quality. 
We would definitely stay here again in the coming months.

Marianna, Atilla and the hotel staff made our stay warm and welcoming. the views from our balcony were beautiful, the room was more than adequate the food was excellent and on one night we had a bar b q that was awesome with live music and lots of fun. the hotel was central to all the local highlights and we tried them all, my children especially enjoyed the cable car and the local swimming pool, we really loved our stay and would definately visit again and  gladly recommend

For many years  l looked forward to visiting Westendorf.
When I was working it was for the Christmas- New Year school holidays
When I retired, the holiday was taken in early January.
Westendorf is a large village with a superb area of skiing of its own and close to
the Ski Welt area with miles of ski possibilities.
There are many hotels in the village but I always returned to the
Theresianna. It is centrally situated, not far from the ski-school for beginners
and comparatively close to the lifts to the mountain ski-runs.
Marianne and Sepp (Joseph) will welcome you warmly and make sure that
you are in a clean and comfortable room. Make sure you know what you are
getting as there are rooms which are for families and some which are smaller.
There used to be a plain continental breakfast but the Theresianna, as far as
I know, introduced the buffet breakfast to the village and there is always
plenty to help yourself to. Circumstances may have changed since I was last there

On arrival at Hotel Theresianna we were given our key by the Manageress and we made our way up to our room on the 2nd floor.  First impressions of the room were somewhat negative in that when we arrived it was cold and on enquiring about any heat in the hotel I was informed that there was none available in the Summer.  Equally whilst we had a safe in the wardrobe I was also informed that that was not in use during the Summer months.  

However, after a nights sleep on comfortable beds my wife and I felt differently about our room.  The weather had turned warmer and we awoke to a lovely view of the mountains with the cable cars in the distance. The room was a reasonable size with a double wardrobe and an adequate bathroom with shower cubicle.  The WC was separate through a door next to the bathroom.  I gather from speaking to other guests that the rooms differ markedly.  Our room was kept very clean by the dear housekeeping lady, with towels changed once during our stay. 

We were on a Shearings coach trip and so the breakfast was between 8-9am, with the evening meal set for us at 6.30pm.  It was a continental breakfast with cereals, hard bolied eggs, sliced meats and cheese.  Bread and a toaster were also supplied.

Apart from one evening when the hard working host family provided a barbecue consisting of a good selection of meat and a baked potato, we had to decide in the morning what our evening meal was to be from a selection of two main meals.  The starter was always soup followed by a selection of certain salad items from four large bowls. The dessert was often ice cream or something very similar and small in size.
It would be wrong to suggest the meals were not of an adequate quality.  However, it would also be misleading to suggest it was other than basic food.  I do not like soup and so prior to the main meal, it was lettuce leaves, grated cabbage and beetroot for me every day. Again though, I cannot expect fine dining for the money paid for a coach holiday and fine dining it wasn't.

The whole holiday was very enjoyable for us though as we were very fortunate to have Bob the coach driver who was not only a very good driver but he was also so knowledeable about the area.  We also made some good friends with Roger and Margaret from Wales and Peter and Helen from Sheffield. We had such a laugh with them and will be sharing photographs now that we have returned.

I should mention that Westendorf is such a pretty village and as it was our first visit to Austria we were taken aback by the lovely houses adorned with flowers.  It was so scenic and in total contrast to parts of the UK so very clean everywhere.  Clearly the locals take pride in their area - if only that were the case in the UK.     

To conclude, we liked the hotel and would not mind returning there, although we will probably be looking to visit another part of Austria some time.

Good Hotel in Centre of Westendorf

Hotel Theresian and restaueant

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location for the village and ski area was very good. The hotel is no frills but acceptable, you don't spend much time there if skiiing anyway. The meals were basic and adequate bot at breakfast and dinner.
