This family run hotel/restaurant was an excellent find. It is situated a few miles from the Danube Valley in a really quiet, beautiful, lush rural area. The welcome we received was second to none (a shot of schnapps each). Our room was spotless and so comfortable, with a balcony having views over the countryside and, to the left, the lake. When we did go to bed we both had a brilliant night's sleep as it was so dark & quiet there. Dinner was excellent: the food tasty & wholesome, the sachertorte to die for! We don't speak Austrian/German but this wasn't a problem as the friendly folks who own/run the place spoke very good English. We found that breakfast the next morning was up there with the best. The eggs were so fresh (I suspect from the chickens in the next field), a good selection of breads, cheeses, meats, preserves - all that you need. All this for just over €100 for the two of us. Would I stay again? You bet I would!
