We had just returned two times this afternoon after a walk at the Eichhof Inn and had the fresh, homemade cakes smashed on the tongue by the senior manager.

What a great destination

At first glance, it was a nice country hotel with a beautiful location overlooking the Alps, great. You have to be honest, and you have to say what's not to say. Outside there are a few rustic tables and benches to relax. Nice reception, family-run country hotel with loving service. It felt like the son was wearing his pants, Mom was serving and Dad was standing behind the stove with a hat as a cook. Like I said, very nice people.

Nice view, nice people, but a thorough refurbishment is necessary. You can never recommend.

I was just looking for a location for my upcoming wedding, parked my car in their parking lot, got out, wanted to wait for my fiancée. Less than 2 minutes later (I think) the son of the operator's family came around, completely aggressive around the corner - shitty Innsbruckers (car know-how) aren't welcome here, etc.! Then the father of the family came along, they spat around my car taking pictures of me and there came one uneducated and restricted hasse after the other.

Unfriendly, demeaning, aggressive

Although only 5 km away from Innsbruck, there is also a swimming lake within walking distance (20 min). We were without a car on an e-bike and used the Eichhof as a starting point for various day trips, which worked well (although the optimal cycle routes are not always at hand and basically meters are to be counted on); the food in the inn is excellent and the operators (the Stöger family) will be extremely nice and friendly! We will definitely be back!

The Eichof is one of those special places that you don't come across very often. It is in a stunning setting - a clearing in the woods with a view across the valley to the mountains on the far side of Innsbruck. The air seems particularly fresh and you can watch horses and alpine cows on surrounding farm land or walk down to the nearby lake - Natterszee - or even down to Innsbruck itself. The Eichof is run by a very friendly family - nothing is too much trouble. Great fresh food - with some traditional Tyrollean recipes that my kids loved and preferred to any other food they had in Austria (and that is a massive complement)  and a really good breakfast. The rooms were very clean with good ensuites. If you don;t require a TV in your bedroom - the Eichof is a magical place , far from the bustling crowd and a true taste of Tyrollean hospitality.  Great for hikers and cyclists  and all lovers of beauty.

Stunning surroundings , great chef and lovely host family.

We booked a family hotel in Tyrol by chance via TripAdvisor 15 minutes from Insbruck. What a nice surprise. Everything was perfect. The reception was very warm and friendly. The food. The bedding. Very clean. A luxurious hotel that stayed in its juice but with all the modernity in comfort and service. The hotel is out of date, outdated but it's all that makes it charming, added to the countryside location and very quiet. I recommend. It's worth a visit.

Holidays

If you are looking for rest, nature and recreation, you are right here. In the warm season chestnut trees provide shade. From the cozy porch you can enjoy the wonderful views of nature at the delicious Eichhof Wiener. We visit this little paradise almost weekly and are very happy to be pampered by the hosts Bernadette, Karl and son Michael!

Nature pure and kind people

We spent two nights in this beautiful location about 15 minutes by bus from Innsbruck. The staff is super friendly and service is available in english. At 850m above sea level, the views of the mountains were amazing and the quiet nature provided time for relaxation. Will hopefully return here someday!

It is very quiet and yet centrally located in the centre of Innsbruck (5 minutes by car).
