My partner & I enjoyed a lovely 3 Night  weekend  in Bright @ The  Gatekeepers Traditional Bed & Breakfast with Mine Host - Keith cooking up a storm every morning.
It was a pleasure returning to Bright & the outlying areas of Beechworth,Myrtleford,Yackcandandah & Harrietville.
Each place provided us with excitement & opportunities.
We highly recommend Keith’s Traditional Bed & Breakfast to all lovers of a fun time away.
Nothing was left to chance- With a box of sweets in our room - a cup of tea on arrival - cakes & liquor were part of Keith’s package & a bottle of water as we left.
Followed up by a text message for a safe journey home.
A nice touch & one we greatly appreciated 

A weekend of Bliss

Looking for a few days away and not having to worry about breakfasts it seamed logical to book a B&B.  The thought of a traditional B&B got me interested.  

I phoned directly and was able to have a very helpful talk with Keith and made my booking.

When we arrived we were told we had the place to ourselves as it was just after bushfires in the area and visitor numbers were down.

From a great welcome form Keith everything was explained.  The common lounge was large.  The bedroom and ensuite were a good size.  The entire B&B was immaculately clean and well presented.

Each evening you write out you order for breakfast the next day, and Keith is an excellent cook.

I can thoroughly recommend Gatekeepers.  It's not the cheapest in town but you do pay for what you get, quality.

A fabulous place to stay

OK full disclosure, we weren’t actually able to stay at the Gatekeepers Traditional Bed and Breakfast. We had planned to arrive there from Canada in order to attend a wedding. Unfortunately the wedding had to be relocated closer to Melbourne last minute. We had passed the date of cancellation; however, I called the owner  and he was very understanding. Based on my conversation with the owner, I want to give this place full marks and I look forward to coming to stay here another time! He understands the value of great customer service!

Understanding Owners

The room was so clean you could eat off the floor!!! Spotless. Keith provides so many extras, wine, beer, snacks. They really go above and beyond. Walking distance to town. Thanks for a great little stay. Would recommend.

Perfect stay, over and above provisions and service.

We booked a 5 night stay whilst holidaying in the area and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality.  Concur with all the previous positive comments, adding that Keith offers breakfast from 06:30 which was great on the day trekking Mount Feathertop. And that as a very hot week in December the AC was much appreciated, as was not feeling had to stay out all the day.

More than just Bed & Breakfast

We spent 4 nights in this beautiful house which is a 0.9km walk into the town of Bright. Keith and Pauline were friendly and welcoming. Our room with en-suite was clean and included heating and lots of lovely touches including chocolates and toiletries. Breakfast was included and homemade treats, fresh fruit and tea and coffee were readily available. Our room had a TV and there was also a communal area to share with other guests. Thank you!!!

we recently stayed 2 nights at Gatekeepers B&B. Whilst the bedroom/bathroom were quite small, they were spotless, and Keith is an excellent host who goes above and beyond in his efforts to make guests feel welcome. There is a large lounge area for guests to relax. The B&B is in a great location, within easy walking distance to Bright township and the river area. Parking is provided. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone passing through Bright.

great location and atmosphere

It's a small but fine B&B accommodation with very good service, free and very fast Wi-Fi and free parking. The location is very convenient; you can walk about 10 minutes to the center of Bright with plenty of food. You can also drive to the Mt. Buffalo National Park in a few minutes, so it's also the only base for a trip there. The service is excellent and very personal: you'll be greeted in person, you'll have a refrigerator full of drinks.

Very nice B&B in Bright.

Keith is the personification of a host and this is just the most perfect B & B with such attention to detail.  On the main road as you enter Bright it is far enough away from the crowded area and close enough to stroll into town.  Just three rooms.  Well appointed and in pristine condition.  Super comfortable beds with crisp linen  ...  box of chocolates on the pillow.  Great breakfast prepared by Keith.  Fridge full of treats beer, water, yoghurt,  health bars and to top it off a range of spirits and liqueurs to enjoy with coffee or tea on hand 24 hours.  And the toilet paper is super luxurious!

What a lovely stay  5 Star

When I arrived I was greeted by the friendly and enthusiastic owner Keith. Keith's communication was fantastic prior to my stay, throughout my stay and he also made a point of saying thank you and wishing me well on my travels on the day that I left. The cottage, the room and the location are exceptional. The cottage is unbelievably clean and a credit to the owners.Keith also made a fantastic breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Perfect in every way.Well done to the owners.
