Such a beautiful  place . Edward and Helen shared their lovely home with us, far more than a B&b a four poster bed ina huge room overlooking Herefordshire , an amazing staircase in a great stately home.

Burton Court is an amazing place to stay of course and there are some fascinating villages to discover nearby but, on top of all that, the hosts are a lovely friendly couple and the bed must be the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

This astounding place needs little to describe but a firm recommendation to stay there for a few days and wrap yourself in genuine British history within a beautiful historic house lovingly kept by Edward and Helen.
We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed to gentle opulence of the room with period furnishings and a comfy 4 posted bed. The room was HUGE as was the bathroom! The beautifully cooked breakfast comprising of local produce: sausage and bacon was so good!,  was served in a magnificent Dining room surrounded by tasteful period furnishings. All the rooms accessible are stuffed with history and the guided tour by Edward is recommended. The bar has some great beers/drinks and is located in what what the Servants Quarters complete with the 21 service bells on the wall.
The house is tucked away in Herefordshire with a minimum of traffic around from any direction. There are some fantastic pubs locally and plenty of the Black and White houses to visit. 
I have absolutely no hesitation to recommend a stay here and enjoy the warm welcome from Helen and Edward with their delightful 2 young daughters and this is at the top of our places to return to list...

A comfortable and enjoyable stay. Room was clean comfortably and so cosy! We were made to feel so welcomed and they kindly accommodated a veggie breakfast for us. The breakfast was lovely with fresh foods and lots of local produce to choose from. We even got a tour of the place! Would highly recommend a stay here.

The large historic house is very beautiful and has a very interesting history that the hosts are happy to share with guests.  The accommodations were very nice and comfortable and the cook to order breakfast was delicious!  We would love to stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Burton Court.  We had a beautiful room with a large and very comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom with bath and very efficient shower. We really liked having the choice of various teas, including loose leaf, in our room.  Breakfast was delicious with everything locally sourced. We will definitely be back!

I had a very enjoyable stay. A great host, excellent breakfast and wonderful room.

Unique location, quiet, beautiful views, lovely grounds and rooms, a fantastic place to escape from it all. Hosts are amenable and very welcoming, the breakfast was tasty and used excellent local produce.!!! Within easy reach of the Midlands and has plenty of things to do around and about, the village a short distance away has several places to dine.

My wife and I had booked the Burton Court for a nice relaxing weekend away, it looked really nice in the photos and had a real look of splendor about it. We got there and found it to be just so, the room was very spacious and extremely comfortable. Ben and Helen the owners actually live there with there family and they couldn't do enough for us to make our stay perfect. There are only 3 rooms that are available but they are all extremely well presented and I can't recommend the hotel high enough. They also cater for weddings and I could see what a marvellous venue it would make for anyone's wedding. Ben and Helen gave us a tour of part of the house and the history of the house was fascinating as they've unearthed lots of facts about both the house and estate it stands in. If we're ever back in the area we'd definitely book to stay there again.

Country house Hotel packed with grandeur

Edward and Helen were so attentive, they spent time telling us about the history of their amazing home. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The breakfast was a lovely sociable affair, where we met 4 other guests and had a lovely conversation. Thank you so much Helen and Edward we will definitely stay at Burton Court again.

Fantastic house in an amazing setting. Great central location for many places of interest. We spent the day in Hay on Wye, after an excellent, but tiring day this was the perfect place to retire to.

Very warm welcome, beautiful room and bathroom. The whole setting was peaceful and relaxing. The owners could not do enough for us, excellent service. 

It was all topped off by a fabulous breakfast with many locally sourced ingredients, delicious! 

Would definitely recommend, and we will be staying there again!

Burton Court, fabulous!

A warm and friendly welcome was a good start and it kept getting better. Our room with its enormous four-poster bed was the last word in opulence. I’m much travelled and not easily impressed but Burton Court won me over right away. A beautiful old house set in magnificent grounds, it has an amazing history. Breakfast in the palatial dining room consists of fresh produce all locally sourced. Would I go back? Yes, like a shot. 


Lovely

Just superb. The Court is wonderful, it's in a beautiful location, with views to die for. Easy access to Leominster, Hereford, Hay, even Ludlow, as well as the Black and White trail and the lovely Herefordshire villages all around. The bedroom and bathroom was huge, tidy, clean, and the 4 poster very comfortable indeed. The hosts Edward and Helen are amazing, friendly, knowledgeable about their lovely home and the surrounding area, and couldn't do enough for us. It was a superb, lovely relaxing few days in a great place run by great people.

A beautiful country house,  interesting architecture and with a fascinating and sometimes tragic history. Edward was extremely welcoming, showed us around the house and to our lovely spacious bedroom (with four poster, that was extremely comfortable)  and huge bathroom.  Everything you could need for a wonderful comfortable stay. Spotlessly clean accommodation and excellent breakfast, most ingredients being  locally sourced.  Finally a place that provides 'proper' loose leaf tea, my favourite being Earl Grey, for breakfast in a china teapot! Also for my husband proper ground coffee. A wonderful peaceful setting, with lots of space and grounds to walk around with no disturbances. The nearby 'black and white' villages are very pretty and interesting and there are many really good restaurants and pubs to visit. If you are in to antiques and quirky collectables then nearby Leominster is the place for you.  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, not least due to the hospitality and friendliness of our hosts Edward and Helen. Thank you, we would love to return in the not too distant future.
