My husband and I visited The Dalmahoy for 1 nights stay as a treat for his birthday. I booked in on the Date and Dine deal as what was offered seemed perfect for our stay. After a tricky start trying to determine how the 3 course dinner included in our deal worked. A few unanswered emails and waiting for someone to get back to me caused me a little concern. Thankfully I recieved an email sorting everything out with sincere apologies. We arrived at the beautiful location with stunning views! We were welcomed by friendly staff who wished my husband happy birthday and told us they had upgraded our room for any issues that had been caused. Well I booked a King deluxe room. But the Morton Suite was something else. Beautiful decor, the comfiest bed ive ever slept in and an amazing roll top bath. It was immaculate with everything you could possibly need. Dinner was booked at The Pentland Hotel and a new menu had just been introduced. Husband was pleased with a nice house red that came included with our meal. Our servers were efficient and friendly and the dining area felt so grand with a lovely ambience. I could go on about our meal but I feel I may triple the length of this review! I will say the food was of the best quality, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Breakfast was the same with lots on offer and the haggis was amazing! I could not recommended this hotel enough. Yes we got an amazing upgrade but that aside i know our stay would have been as wonderful and an amazing experience as it was. But I wanted to highlight how much staff will go to make sure your stay here is one you will remember!.
